If the 335i weights less and is making more wheel power.... odds are it will run a faster time with good traction..

the hardest part is going to be getting 60ft times as low as posible. I was AWD doing 1.7 60fts...with the 335 and some good tires its posible to get a 1.8 60ft and run 12.6 or lower
I agree, I think with the xede, the 335I, with good traction and conditions, will run mid 12's, time to hit the track again this winter Bro. :rocks:

Who said I'm alone w/ 2 kids? I also have a wife who's only 2 months post giving birth our 2nd child; not exactly the best time to say..."hey honey, you're on your own this evening with both kids since I'm going to the race track to see exactly how fast my car is."

FWIW, I just sent a PM out to the S. FL Xede Gang to see if anyone else is up for the challenge to go to the Moroso track to get their Xede-equipped 335i timed...hopefully, someone can do it soon.

sflgator, where is your dedication to us on this forum, your tuner, and the pursuit of truth and justice? Get some helmets for those kids, strap 'em into the car seats extra tight, and give them the (1/4 mile) ride of their lives!:rocks:

You never said that you were alone with kids but the way you put it indicated that you had no choice to stay home because of the kids...

I have 4 kids myself , this situation never strand me in anyway, they participated to activities all the time no matter what age they were. Being pregnant or having kids is not a sickness, you can still go out and do things/moderate activities, anyway, to each their own I guess...

Robert,

Yes, everyone is different and every situation is also different. To me, my family, our health, and my career are my priorities; as obsessed with my car as I am, it still comes after the other three. You may be different, so good luck with that.

btw - not that it's any of your business, but we do "go out" and participate in activities as a family; however, going to the race track at night is not one of them.

If you're whipped, you're whipped. Happens to a lot of us. Not me, of course. I'd be man enough to admit it if I were.

Ok, now I'm getting pis$ed...I say to all those who are telling me to 'go to the track...' -- :finger: and "you go to the f'king track!"

I did all of you a f'ing favor by timing my Xede-equipped 335i with a G-Tech...it was a lot of fun, and I thought I'd share my results. Now, it's other guys' turns to 'go to the track' and post "official" times for all you impatient and skeptical cry-babies!

Damn, give sflgator a break. He has his priorities straight. I am sure he or someone else (he's not the ONLY person with a 335i+Xede!) will make it to the track soon enough.

I appreciate what you did. I don't know why everyone is busting your chops about it. But when you started making excuse after excuse, it made it sound like you're whipped; not that there's anything wrong with that.

sflgator,
thanks a lot for the effort you have made to post your results, if people are impatient its their problem not yours.
I am sure we will see results soon enough.
I sympathise with you'r priorities, everyone is diferent and nobody has the right to tell anyone else what they are going to do with their time.

There's no excuses; just not enough time to go to the track at night now. If I could get my car timed at the track during the day, then I could and would do it (as I make my own daily work schedule), but running off to the track one night is just not feasible at this point.

So where are the other 20+ guys with Xede-equipped 335i's around FL, TX, CA, and Canada???? They're all MIA! Now, I understand the guys in Canada have a legit excuse -- the winter weather prohibits the track from even being open, but I'm sure there's a track open in TX and CA...the Moroso track in S. FL couldn't possibly be the only open track in the U.S. right now, could it? Again, I sent out a PM to the other S. FL 335i Xede guys; only one has responded with a "maybe." I haven't heard from the other 4 yet, but I'm sure within a few weeks, someone will get it done.

BTW - to the guys who can understand where I'm coming from, thank you for your support. We're all here b/c we love our cars and are generally interested in learning more about them and sharing our experiences...it defintely shouldn't be a bash session just b/c a guy doesn't please everyone 100%. People are generally most concerned with themselves and the ones they love; not strangers on the Internet. That's life, folks.

you should have took a measure without the mod, then after the mod to compare the difference.
Impressive #'s though!

Wasn't interested in "unhooking" the XEDE...a lot of wires to/from the ECU and no DIY Video yet. What would've been very easy for Shiv to do, would've been a real pia for me to do.

Sflgator, no wonder there is no interest to go to the track. You did everyone a great favour by measuring the 1/4 ml time using G-tech. Everybody seems to be satisfied enough with it, except a couple of members. One time slip is no absolute truth either, so why bother.

Well, if I could, I would...just for fun! But, I'm sure someone else will get their Xede-equipped 335i timed at the track soon enough. Then, the skeptics will be saying that it's not enough and doesn't prove anything.

I'm the "maybe" we'll see if work allows me to go to the track or not. BTW weather forecast for friday night looks like 68 degrees with a eastward wind of 10 mph. Moroso runs east to west so it'll be a major advantage with the wind to your back. This isn't my ideal track conditions but we'll see if i can even go.
With the advent of the information age some people need to relax about instantaneous information.

You would, but ask yourself "why". Based on your posts you know the appr. time range dependant on launch. You just want to show to those "skeptics" that you were right. Is it worth having that much stress of? 20 Xede owners think its not.
