you can go for a 12' kicker cvr sub thats more than enough, 500 watt amp is good for that sub.

Are you going to the meet 2mr?

Exclamation Plz Help - Answers Needed

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I incidently ran into a median at 5 am last night going about 25-30 mph... inmediately after the bump the top passenger airbag deployed. I realized I couldnt go further because the tire was flat so I pull over to use the spare only to see BOTH of the tires on my passenger side was sliced. Did I mention I cut the car off ? so upon trying to start it back up I got nothing... 3 hours until I reached a decent company to tow me 6 miles literally for $215.00

All in all I need to know whats to expect - I cant do much until Monday but whats to expect? I am a young woman in her early 20's with limited funds and dont know if I can afford the repair for this minor incident. the situation wasnt severe enough to deploy an airbag in my opinion.

If funds are limited, simply go through your insurance. What is exactly wrong with the vehicle, apart from damaged tires? Any dealer can install tires, provided nothing else is wrong.

However, if you jumped a curb/median- there is a high chance your alignment is off, and in more serious cases, your suspension or other wheel assembly may need repair. Do you have any body damage?

+1 Insurance is your best shot if you got limited funds. I am sorry to hear your bad news, hope things will come together soon.

Anyone knows where I can find a self-service car wash spot around or close to the Heights area??? I do not want tunnel car wash nor car wash services. I simply want to wash my own car and I can't find a DIY car wash spot on Yelp or YP!!!!!

Anyways, I went to a place called "Time to Shine" on N. Fry Road at Katy. It was a long ass 30-35 minutes drive but was worth it. The place was well maintained and was buzzing this morning.

Quick question, I have been hearing air hissing sound coming from my front driver-side wheel when I go over uneven road. The hissing is coming on almost all the time as long as the road is not smooth. What do you guys think it is???

I am thinking 99% the front shocks are gone, can't believe that thing can't last more than 46K miles

Urban Speed Pics

http://s1126.photobucket.com/albums/...bruary%202011/

I got an error message when attempting to post the pics (something about a security token), but here is a link to the pics for the post-UrbanSpeed BMW meet at Sabine Street Lofts.

We'd like to have more participation next month, so keep an eye on Coffee & Cars and UrbanSpeed in March.

PS. Our cars do not have spares! If your car won't start..you may have damaged some stuff underneath...any fluids leaking?

I did the same thing, but my airbag didn't deploy and my car was still drivable.

Hopefully you have full coverage because my bill was $3,700 ($1,400 to repair my rims which are covered by full coverage insurance).

I received the error message when trying to upload the photos via the 'attachment' button within the forum. I didnt want to set up the pics on an external site, but was forced to since the error message popped up.

Hey man, I want to go this route for washing my car and just wondering how the process works. Ideally I'd like to take my own products and just use the water hose, can that be done and how much does it cost? How do you go about it?
I'm thinking about washing it myself but until I have my own house it wont happen so I want to try this option.

If anybody else has done this before feel free to chip in. Thanks!

When you pull into the car wash stall (not sure how you call it), it's equipped with a wash gun on one side of the wall and a bubble wash brush on the other side. The machine is coin-operated and you pay with quarters, there are change machines on-site so just bring some dollar bills. I think I spent maybe $4.25 that day and that's mainly because I had to wait a little for the soap to break into the dust on the wheels. And even after the damn wait, them wheels are not where I want them to be.... oh well.

After that I pulled out the car and wipe them down outside of the stall. You can then do your thing, clay/wax/polish etc...... Be prepared though, one of your towel will become black and dirty after wiping down them wheels. I normally can avoid that if I have a no-rush water source so I can wash the wheels thoroughly, but out here you can forget it.

Oh by the way I would apply the wheel soap before hosing down the bubble wash, I tend to forget that for some reason.
