I guess it would be safe with enough 3M adhesive, won't it?
I had a fake hood scoop thing with just 3M adhesive before (long~~ time ago), and it lasted up to 100mph or so... (didn't go faster than that...)

So my guess is it would be ok.......or NO?? haha...

Why are you not accepting payment for splitters btw??
*PM sent for the spoiler payment.

yeah... thats what i'm thinking... the design of the splitters doesnt account for the rounded screw thingys at the bottom... you have to unscrew them first... i dont think its plug n' play. there's a little bit of sweat to it.

My concerns exactly...with the holes you can use the existing hardware to secure it (from below) and still have access to the screws to remove the front bumper, fender liner etc. The splitters doesn't have to be removed and can still remain mounted via 3M

Masking tape and a drill bit will get you where you need to be as far as hole location...and the paint wont chip or flake. Just use the template he is going to provide...It is really not hard...any monkey can do it.

...all you need is a butterfly bit....any lowes or hd has them for about $3. Simple, let the bit do the work. Just have your trunk monkey take care of it...everyone has one, right?

Given the choice between a chemical (3M tape) and a mechanical (screws) solution, I'm going to take the mechanical route every time. I don't understand why BMW would use different screw locations on each car. I would prefer my splitters to be predrilled.

Bav, if this is really not feasible for the reasons you have outlined above, could you include a drill template with the various screw positions? Otherwise, I fear an uproar as members get their splitters and then discover they can't fit them properly and/or the paint has flaked and/or they have drilled a hole in the wrong place, etc

Finally, is it normal practice in the US to advise buyers there will be a 3% surcharge for PayPal after the buyer has committed to the GB? With S&H, this will mean a $8 increase for me. I don't recall having been told of this at the time of sale...

Yeah. Not for nothing but if you decide YOU want to be paid in paypal ONLY, then YOU cover the 3%, not us. Thats not giving us much of an option to be able to pay in other formats. Not a good decision if you ask me. Not cool to spring that on us at the last moment only when YOU have your list full.

true...even though i paid already. My credit card wouldn't have charged me the 3% fee.

SOOOO SORRYYYYY!!

I apologize to you all for not having announced the 3% paypal fee, it is my fault. However this is something I cannot waiver since it is from an external company. I know that the end price for you will be 3% higher but I'm trying to provide you all with the lowest prices I can. It won't happen again. Paypal automatically organizes every payment with info into a single source, this makes it easier for us to process 35+ orders all at one time. And it is very convenient and popular. I hope sincerely, this will not prevent you from loving BavDom and coming to us for all your needs.

As far as the templates for drilling, we will provide them so I am here for everything you might need. Thank you for the payments so far and keep'em coming, as soon as all have paid you will all get tracking numbers and then..... everyones favorite part, 30+ new threads of members with spanking new cosmods

Are we to infer from this that production and/or shipping will only commence once all those on the list on p.1 have actually paid?

Nope, no inferences, as soon as all have paid, we process all the orders, match the products with the customer, and get them shipped. We ship them out all at once, it's a GB And not everyone on the list, only those that are buying other products aside from the PUR painted splitters.

That's what I meant. If I pay, say, next Tuesday and, for whatever reason, customer n°28 on the list waits until the end of April to pay, then you will only process my order at the end of April?

No, there is a time limit for payment acceptance. If participants don't pay within the next week or so the group buy will close and all those who didn't pay will be left out. It's all for the convenience of all those who have paid, it's only fair to them. Please understand that this is only way to ensure the best service for everyone, we all need to be as responsible as we can

It's only fair.

We want to make this as best, concise, quick, and service oriented as possible.

Can you keep editing the list on the first page as to who has paid and who hasnt so we can see who the slackers are? This way we can put on the pressure to pay up.
