Don't you think you will be better off running 12-17 maps instead?

Thanks, I'm already at 50. You suggested that last week too, and I said:

I'll try switching to other maps tomorrow. I haven't actually changed maps since I received my Procede. It was shipped to me with 3-30.

you guys are not the only ones. i emailed the issue to Shiv...was told to adjust the wastegate setting. i did this and found 60 to alleviate some of the rattle...but still sounds horrible during the conditions you mention above.

when i had taken the Procede out a few weeks prior for dealer visit(fuel system recall)....i experienced none of this rattle. when i reinstalled the Procede i switched back to 12-17...no rattle. uploaded 5-10 again....rattle is back. so...i'm going back to 12-17 and will probably remain there.

Ya these new maps seem to be riddled with problems and I know they are beta but it is still disappointing.

Not much has been heard from shiv & co. in the past few days now at least from what I have seen.

these are beta maps...and i understand there may be bugs to work out. until a production map that works for my specific car comes out...i'm going back to the 12-17 map.

I can almost guarantee you are running the latest dme software which hides the wastegate rattle. Changing the wastegate user adjustable setting in the procede accomplishes the same thing. If you were running an older version of the dme software, you would also hear your wastegates rattling.

i disagree. i was running the 5-10 maps and was experiencing horrible rattle. had to remove the Procede for dealer visit...fuel system recall...and during that time experienced zero rattling noises. got car back from the dealership with new dme software...still no rattle. installed Procede back in and the rattle returned. i reverted back to 12-17 maps....no rattle. i cannot explain it....but that is what i experienced. something in the DIC maps causes my car to rattle.

Then again I'm at 17 psi with meth.

Changing boost gain to 50 won't achieve the same effect, and I know it's not just my butt dyno being off, because Shiv himself said that he was going to revert back to old logic with the new maps.

Ya I think the reason this happened was because something changed near the 3-30 maps where people were over-shooting boost to easily, so then something was backed down to avoid the over-shoots. Just a guess though.

Does anyone know for sure the reason for the misfires and limp at WOT with the newer maps? I am just baffled as to what BMW did in the newer software. I have the last version of software just before the new one with the new DSC icon. Sorry don't know number this is only way I can describe it.

I literally had my software updated to the latest at BMW the day before I installed the Procede 5-10. I wonder if there are issues with the latest BMW put out?

Just put the pedal to the metal and shift past 6500 rpm you will find out in short order if your car starts misfiring and or goes into limp mode, then there is an issue. If not, check for codes and if all seems happy let us know.

Just saw that the new JB4 has a feature where you can set the exhaust flapper to stay open all the time! Shiv? That would totally beat having to undo the plug in the trunk all the time!
