i would agree solely based on the act that everyone was born here.

if your family was born and raised in Pakistan and all of a sudden you were the first child born in the United States, you can "legally" call yourself American, but common sense will tell you that you are Pakistani.

if you were born on US Soil then you're American.

if you were born on US Soil but your parents were born in Mexico - you are Mexican American or American of Mexican descent.

I have another question: Why did the African-American culture disintegrate sometime in the 80s or 90s? Before they all tried to succeed and become successful by getting an education and there weren't so many ghettos or bad neighborhoods filled with primarily blacks? Now, it seems like there is no decency amongst themselves and it's a reason for why all their neighborhoods and schools are crap. They have the exact same opportunities as whites to be successful and working but they continue to be hoodlums and don't make anything of themselves.
