What are some of common injuries giving birth?
Does it become easier for women to give birth after giving birth the first time?
Do they really sometimes poop and fart while giving birth? Has anyone just sprayed you with diarrhea while you were delivering?

with big babies or small pelvises...the anterior shoulder is under the pubic bone and if there is not adequate room, the clavicle can fracture during delivery of the shoulder...this happened last week...

a more serious injury is a nerve injury to the brachial plexus from a shoulder dystocia, that is when the head delivers and the shoulder gets stuck behind the pubic bone....a true obstetric emergency...

that shit ages you years...in minutes...every OB's nightmare

Yes she is seeing her OB today. Second c-sec. It has not happened for the past 3 days, and no further bleeding. Her OB keeps mentioning and intestinal problems but she does not exhibit the signs I would associate with that so just curious why her symptoms led to him being concerned about that.

Funny story for you doc, during residency at the downtown clinic (where the worst of the worst come in), we had a 16 yo girl come in for STD screening. Part-time attending was in his 70's and from the Middle East, but had been practicing/teaching for a fewof years in the US. Her mother requested that only the attending do the exam so we stood near the head of the exam table.
Immediately after coming in and lifting the sheet, he freaks out, and says "What the hell is that? What is that for? Why did you do that?"
This 16 yo had gotten her clit pierced and it was the first time he had ever seen one. She was horrendously embarassed, and we had to leave the room because we started laughing so hard.
But the last day of OB at this place was the best day. We saw some nasty vag there!
