June Production Thread

That's Day/Month/Year.

July 16th-August 4th.

Yeah, that makes sense, thanks for the response Drew. I just thought it only took a week to get across the ocean?

My production week is supposed to be week 24, so I would guess I will be on "BREM 18/06/2007 chrlstn, sc 7/7/07 PATRIOT". Any thoughts?

I was supposed to be Week 23 but started production last friday, more than 2 weeks early. The same may happen to you.

My CA told me:

We should be about 8 days in production as long as there are no delays, then 3.5 weeks on the ship to NJ/SC then 5-7 days to us.

I think some ships are faster than others but it takes anywhere from 12-19 days to come across.

Drew, my guess is we'll be taking delivery around/on Saturday, July 7th if we are on the Freedom and Saturday, June 24th if we manage to make it on the Figaro.

I forgot to ask drew, when did you order your car, and what is your production number (first 4 digits)? i'm just trying to compare what you have with mine to see if I will go into production early. thanks!

that's great news for everyone! looks like i hit a milestone today too - i finally received a new production # after a month into placing my order.

it starts with 369 instead of 368 as with my previous glitched one.

the new # didn't even show up on oc.bmwusa.com (i'm assuming it's not in the system yet...i hope). the automated response from BMW NA also said "scheduled for production with no confirmed production date"

but when i called to spoke with a rep at BMW NA, she informed me that it looks like my vehicle is in the "daily production package" (i didn't really hear her speak that well, she might've said something similar) and i asked her what that means and she said that means it could be in production any day now. i was EXTREMELY surprised as i was quoted 1st week of July from my CA. we'll see what happens...i don't want to get my hopes up. i'm just relieved i actually have a working production number now lOL.

okay i'm officially on this thread now. BMW NA confirmed 3rd week of June production (week 25). CA called this morning and told me the same thing and said the car will arrive in mid-July. That's quite a hopeful target even though i'm located in NJ but i'm thinking it'll arrive towards the end of July since it seems like produced cars sit for a while before getting on ships.

I'm just relieved now and my insanity with this forum has officially begun. =)

WooHoo! I'm in production. Estimated completion on June 5th. How long does it take to get to Bremerhaven from the factory?

Not too long, less then 24 hours but your car will be sitting at the port average 3-8 days

Called BMW NA today and she's in the body shop today. Paint shop tomorrow! Hope the paint sprayers aren't feeling too orange peeley tomorrow!

Drew, you might wanna call because my scheduled completion date according to the automated system is June 5th, but the guy on the phone said June 4th (aka Figaro is becoming more of a possibility!)

I've heard from my contact at the Plant in Munich that Fridays in the paint shop are typically the worst for orange peel because the paint lines don't get changed until Monday.
