Sorry you took it the wrong way man. I was just commenting on the number of posts and I was simply making an observation..I do appreciate your being so thorough in answering all of our questions. The reason I came to this thread is because I am looking to get my idrive updated and was curious as to what features I should expect in the new software.

I just got my car back today after getting v26 put on. I love it!! This is the way it should have been from the factory! It was pissing me off that I couldn't find phone numbers before to call places since I don't have bluetooth, but now I have it!

Don't know if this was covered but did anyone else notice that the regular display on the dash changed as well. It looks bolder and smoother (I'm talking about where it says your milage, tripometer, MPG, time and such) It looks much better! I'm loving it!!

Doesn't appear to be. My car is at the dealer now, and they mentioned upgrading. I have v25 currently, so I am not sure what upgrading is going to do. But I'll never turn down an update...

Something else I found and I want to assume is another
feature of the progman upgrade:
Seat belt chime goes off after 30 rings.

My wife had to undo the seat belt to attend the baby in the back.
The chime started to go off... and after a while, it stopped.

Before the software upgrade, the chime will not stop until the seat belt was buckled.

I experimented with my seat belt and found that after 30 times, the chime will stop.

I always drive with the seat belts on, so this does not help me.
But since there is a DIY to stop the chime, I thought of letting you all know.

One more thing - satellite radio, when you click on a station it plays. I like this a lot. You don't need to click on it, then click on play

I haven't tried it yet...the upgrade wiped all my saved addresses. I've been lazy about re-entering everything in.

Tried it a few times this morning on the way to work. Did not work at all for me. I said options under navigation and it said nothing of this either.

So I'm pretty sure it's a no..

I said a few things to get them to update...
1) As mentioned above, iDrive is slow.
2) The audio source shortcut key does not switch to AUX.
3) No POI.
4) Arrow display does not come up in side nav window when side window is not specifically on arrow display. Arrow display should pop up when you need to turn, exit, etc. This is especially problematic if you have the nav voice prompt off.

I tried once before just with #4 and the biatch SA I got that day did not want to update it for me. I think it's because I mentioned "I read on the internet..." and she immediately became a complete bitch. Avoid Stephanie at South Bay BMW.
