It depends on if your TV module gives you reverse camera emulation.
Read the specs of your tv module.

If it is OEM, then it will not support. Check for media cards on ebay which support reverse camera input.

You can connect RCA from your TV tuner or other media device directly to the quadlock of the CIC

Sound is the problem though, some devices use fibre optic, others use the aux plug. So at the end of the day, for TV/Multimedia devices, you better going with a module made specifically for this. Or if you want to keep it cheap, connect your RCA output from TV tuner to your AUX input of the CIC.

This is not going to work for the reversing camera! The pins you've highlighted is for the TV, for the reverse camera!

I have TV installed & what you're saying is that with coding when in reverse the TV should show..... I can say it doesn't.

THe thing is I am not having a CIC but CCC.
So no way of getting "cheap" rear view camera,or if I need some kind of emulator - is there something in between not like the ones i found for 399 eur...

Hu?
I was commenting on the TV question, hence the diagram. If TV is coded and video wire connected to those pins, then TV should work end of.
Why would anyone recommend the TV will come up when in reverse? I am not that thick come on, who watches TV in reverse lol
The camera thing was not part of my response.

So what are you talking about then.... this post is regarding the reverse camera?

You said you can have a direct TV feed to the CIC without a module but you won't have sound?

Some people are ......

I have said it a lot earlier that it is not possible.

If you want reverse camera on your car
1- Get media module which support camera input and emulation on CCC/ CIC
2- Get expnesive emulator which works.

There is no if and but...and there is no trick in connecting camera cars to tv or combox video input!!!

Anyone have comfort access that have done this mod? Did you just install a camera without changing the handle?

Turns out I'm a complete idiot and the yellow vid cable is there I just couldn't see it in the where's waldo of wiring. Second question. Is it possible to hook up multiple video sources without an expensive module? My emulator also has camera activation and after looking at this thread and seeing the pinouts of 21,24 for FBAS and also 27,28 for FBAS I'm wondering are these two separate video sources and cab U simply hook up two video cables to it and switch between them?

Original post which is way incorrect: ***Can anyone speculate why I get a black screen instead of my reverse camera? When I go in reverse I see the camera screen, options, and PDC animation but just a black screen. My emulator have av cables (red and white which is typically for audio?) But my emulator only has four wires (well 6 really) power, ground, can high, can low. Does the camera work over the can bus? I wouldn't have though so.***

As far as I know the handle is just a dumb switch with two wires going to it. The trunk antenna for comfort access is a black plastic rectangle which you can find under your trunk floor in between your electronics modules in the trunk.

Hi everyone!

I have a problem with retrofit on my e60 - reverse camera.

I connect emulator with cic, everythink is ok. White cable has a 12v when i turno on a reverse gear... But ...

Pdc is working only sound, on lcd from cic, i see only a normal menu radio, setting etc, no image of car with pdc, or parkmenu with camera. Nothing. Only sound from pdc.

Of course i cant add $3AG to e60 so i only code CIC "by hand" :-)

I change macro_pdc, macro_l6_parkmenu, macro_pdc_rearview to aktiv
I combinated with rvc_ to wert_23/21, with horizontal/vertikal and all of settings which maybe is working with camera - but without success :-( Only sound from pdc, when i comeback in macro_l6_parkmenu to nicht_aktiv - pdc and lcd view is working normally.

I think this is a problem with coding but i searched in google and every descriptions is about e90. Not about e60.

Maybe have you a solution for this?
