Great deal! But to clarify and add a few details, it has 69k miles, no adaptive/xenon headlights, and no M rear bumper to match the M front bumper and side skirts. Looks like it may be lowered as well?

Replica 1M or similar bumper, plastidipped rear badge missing the “i”, aftermarket wheels I’ve never seen. Looks like it’s had a history of being cheaply modded. I’d steer clear personally.

How do you calculate loss in value for a CarFax with repair damage when the car is somewhat rare like the manual transmission e91?

Obviously, you would want to know what the repairs entailed and how they were done- but you do not. So, if a clean LCI 6sp Sport Package is worth $15-17 retail with a clean CarFax, what is it worth with an accident repair history?

Would you assess a -5%, -10%, -20% -25%?

Naw, it is just a generic question. In most states, insurance policy must pay diminished value in addition to the cost of repairs. I was discussing the calculation of the loss of value with a friend when our cars have a CarFax history.

The insurance industry seems to think that it is only a $500 question. But for the people I know, if there has been body/paintwork, they are generally uninterested in that car because even if the repair was done well, the paint is still going to fade differently on the new work than on the original body area.
