How sad. Sorry for all you guys who actually did all this labor, only to find the install not working.

Just got home from vacation to see the box and inspect it...The skirts are definitely thinner, but like always the paint is spot on perfect...waiting for what instructions PAT has to offer before I do the install....

Just stay subscribed to the thread and wait to see how this all plays out.

There's a reason there are so many pages.

That said, they should "fit" an E93 that is if they ever fit anything at all.

The aerolip is a replica with OEM paint and clear coat.

I just tried to install the driver's side and it seems impossible...I would like to see what PAT has to say about the install that I wouldn't know...The rear clips do not line up at all!! The weight difference from the first batch and these latest ones are SIGNIFICANT...I reinstalled the first batch one back on the driver's side without a hitch...waiting to see what the instructions are...

Is it possible that there is a difference in the hole placement on Pat's car? Maybe in the manufacturing process, he got like a Euro version or something?

Wouldn't that suck if all those molds were designed and made off of a car that isn't even the same as ours?

Whoa. THAT would suck.

All I know is that I am pretty familiar with the install of these skirts from the original batch, that I was stumped on why the rear clips wouldn't line up...I even tried to dremel one of the areas where the clips gets attached and it was still about 3-4 mm lower than the green gromets wear it clips onto the body...I am puzzled and pretty exhausted after coming home from vacation and playing around with the skirts for 2 hours...I will wait to see what PAT has to give me for instructions...I will check this thread tomorrow!

Highly doubt that's the resaon, as the first batch lined up fine.

Huh. Well, I hope it all gets sorted out for you...for all of us.

Don't understand why there weren't any updates for instructions today.

instructions please!!! just give us the tawainese version or whatever, we'll translate it.

I'm really curious. This is not like assembling a complex electronic machine. It's just basic aligning, poping in and screw it down. There are only so many ways u can do it. There must be some kind of modifications to the mounting points or something to get it to work. Sigh....

Please wait till this weekend, as Pat was busy all day working on other stuff. We are rushing as fast as we can, we are making the instructions as detailed as possible, so that we can include it when we ship the side skirts. This way, we won't have any damaged side skirts due to improper installation.
Sorry for the wait, but rest assure, it will all be over and everyone will have their side skirts on with no worries , we guarantee this!

can you give us a basic run-down of what is needed in the mean time? the skirts are just sitting in the garage taunting me. I'm really curious to see what can be done to make them work

Yeah, at least a concept of how it's supposed to work would be nice.

Based on what the end users are saying, it seems like the basic laws of physics and geometry are preventing the installation.

One of the members who received the second batch has been successful at completing the install. I believe he mention that they were flush with excellent fitment. Maybe he can chime in with his procedure.

I think he did a bunch of trimming... I did some trimming and was about 90% successful... but 90% isn't good enough. I'm just waiting on the instructions before i trim any more

Totally agree JP. I wouldn't be happy about 90% either.
