Haha Im not allowed into Ducati dealerships anymore...last time I did I had gotten financing started for a 1098s and luckily had a girlfriend that slapped me out of it. Those 848's are suuuuper sexy though...at a surprisingly good price!

Anvar, you should just cut your losses with your M3...it IS old news, with 3 year old technology. Kinda like your phone last summer before upgrading to a 21st century phone..

Does this have anything to do with Priuses on the left lane going 50mph?

Hey guys,

Couple of things. Are we doing dyno runs this weekend? Or is that at a later meet. I was a little confused.

Secondly: I had a 2007 Kawasaki ZX6R before I got my M and on certain days I regret that decision. They are SOO fast. Plus I had some really loud and obnoxious exhaust on it that sounded very nice at 16,000 RPMs.

However, I was still out in Montana for most of the time and riding on mountain roads with few motorists vs. rush hour on 35 W is a little different scenario.

How about the BMW S 1000rr ...

I'll try to make it. I have some guests coming for the weekend and not sure yet on their arrival time. If it's late enough then I should have time to swing by for a bit.

Those Beamers are pretty nice bikes too...the body looks wayyy too much like my 06 yamaha R6 though. It's actually quite weird how much they look alike. I had a few summers with it, and it gave me plenty of willies. Joe you're right though...they are stupid fast. I look back on my younger days as an adolescent, and ponder how stupid my friend's and I were..120mph stand up wheelies, nose wheelies, all the stupid shit. One of my friends' even did double stand ups with his girlfriend on the back! see below.

The dyno day is set up for November 27th....this weekend will just be a mini meet thingy I think

^^ Haha. Totally in the same boat as you. We were out on a very clear and desolate road in Montana and I hit my own personal land speed record at 171 mph... problem was, I was passed by my buddy While I was at or around 170, who was on his brand new CBR 1000 RR... WITH his girlfriend on the back... Young and dumb we were.

No, the young And carefree days of my youth are far gone. Wounds, bones, kidneys and ligaments take MUCH longer to heal now compared to when we were young. At least for me, I haven't been young for 2-3 years....its a bummer being 22. haha

Its amazing the difference between when you are in college and when you get out into the real world. All of the sudden motor skills begin slowing and the liver doesn't do its job as well anymore... most likely due to all of the damage thrown at them in college years. A quarter century is a long time I might add.

Its not all bad though. Got a real job, making good money... and then spending pretty much all of it on my car.

Such a tragedy, being 22. Your best years are behind you.

I've got an eye doctor's appointment early Saturday morning, if I get out early, I'll pass by Imola.

Note to self: Wash car.

Nick
I was talking to a guy over at Rock Falls a little while back who was running an 09 R1 and he was saying that the new beamers are the bikes to beat right now. I was surprised because I thought the Jap bikes were always the best too

They're all stupid fast. With straps compressing the front suspension, my buddies and I were all able to run 10.6-11.0's at Rock Falls on 600s. I cannot imagine a 1000

And yes Nick, they're called nose wheelies...Stoppies are when you go from 15mph to a stop, nose wheelies are when you ride on the front wheel from 50 down to 10 hahaha. Sooo dumb.
