do not.

Unless it's been hiding up there the whole time and I'm blind, but I'm pretty intimate with all the interior parts.
If I were to have it, where specifically would it be? Maybe I find a plug up there.

but it won't be a big deal to just pop another socket off the socket in the ashtray and stash it all in the center console. I intend to come through the gap between the center console and the dash board anyway.

probably should have had this idea while te whole thing was out last week, but you know.

OT, have a question about your roof bars. I just bought a pair for my E91. Do you leave them on all the time? How's the wind noise?
I don't notice any wind noise from them, maybe just a slight buffeting at highway speed, but otherwise quiet…much quieter than the ones on my 128i were

OMG... someone just pointed this out to me this weekend. I couldn't believe there was a 12V outlet hiding there all along. I was even thinking about places I could mount one.

I have a new fuel smell that is very potent under the drivers rear wheel.

What do you guys think? Cracked fuel pump or sender unit? Fuel hose? I'll have to wait till the end of the week to open the rear seat up

Maybe it's something a bit simpler like an evap line that came undone or the seal for the fuel pump cap going bad? But simple things usually aren't the issue with these cars

The E46s power steering pump quite literally had the shaft driving the pump shear off.. supposedly it's very common on the LF-20 model pumps. Leave it up to BMW to design a ps pump that shears apart.

I read there was a stronger pump LF-30 that could be retrofitted so I picked one up at the junkyard and threw it on and turns out it has a slight whine also that fluid looks great

I remember getting gas in the old E46, starting the car and it drove like a tank. I popped the hood, everything looked as it should so I drove home and found that the shaft broke. I simply bought a replacement LF-20 and flushed the system.

I don't have the 3IM in my current car, it's in the garage waiting to be installed, pulled it from the wrecked wagon over a year ago.
On that one, I was able to get rid of the 2FA3 just by default coding the DME after the flash.

One of these months I'll finish up the boat projects and solar panel projects and house reno work and will get around to working on the car again, heh.

Most recent thing I did was to install one of the CIC retrofit wireless carplay/android boxes. It works pretty well! Kinda dim, and not touchscreen like the NBT Evo I had in the last wagon, but with idrive it's good enough.

Just need to code the front aux to read from the back of the head unit instead of from the MULF.

In retrospect I probably should have done that but all the cars in the yard were LF-30.

What fluid did you run in it? I had CHF11S before and it wasn't cheap to top up everytime I had to service the system or had some seepage. All I had at hand was Valvoline maxlife and Castrol transmax and threw that in yesterday in the meantime.

I went through my orders on ECS Tuning but couldn't find it, I believe it was CHF11S.

Not sure what brand rack it is but they are the only ones capable in my area to align lower cars. No one else would touch it

I ended up ordering new bracket and hardware cause after looking closer at my bracket. It was at some point out of the car and got bent/wrong hardware
Update: I installed my replacement bracket and… broke the same stud on the new one.. now I'm going to listen to E92William and just drill the F-ing thing out and use a nut and bolt..

I don't think it was me that suggested that but I surely would take that route after it broke again lol. I've never managed to break one of those but I'm always super careful from what I've read here

I apparently didn't read up before snapping the studs

Was booked in to have Control arms (33322283545-6), Radius arms (33322283547-8) upgrade to M3 and Hardrace Lower support arms with Ballpin adj Hr Toe arms😟 but garage over booked (BEEP BEEP BEEP).
SO I'm washing the car then treating the leather.

For the first time in awhile my first suspicions were correct. New regulator will hopefully be here tomorrow from FCP
