Will there be an eco mode? Lower RPM upshifts?

Will the Sport option still be different? Or will it be whatever the transmission is flashed to?

Hope that clarifies some things.
OMG, Thanks god someone is fast to get it.
I was wrong to indicate it like xdf, but, obviously, I was meaning xdP app
Trying to be smart and clever it doesn't hurt anyone

There will be 3 calibrations for each supported vehicle:

Comfort, Sport and Race.

All of them will sport optimized shiftpoints, like shown in this video (you have to watch it on Desktop or Tablet...difference maybe hard to grasp on smartphone screen) ->

When the tool is ready for beta, there will be a feature list available for each version. And this list will develop over time, as we learn more and more from the transmission. I'm thinking of things like changing corner behaviour and automatic downshifts with blips on heavy braking. Those functions are very hard to reverse and understand...but we will crack it sooner or later.

Very good Indeed.

Is there any planned date to release the version for "transition 6hp" like mine produced in 01/07, yet?

Good Job.

Sorry, can't give a timeline nor really promise it for later. Changing Mechatronic would be a shortcut.

Sorry for this dumb question, but can anything be done about the extremely aggressive traction control which cuts 1/2 power at the slightest slippage?

Hold the DTC button on your dash for 3 seconds

Would I be in or out?

Before replacing my MCM/TCU, I wanted to confirm if I will be able to flash my transmission.

Is it too much to ask to include in your app something for the 6HP26 version found in the pre-lci E6x 535d?

Curios...
If the flashing was reversible, as other software does as usual, what kind of error/damage could be made if using the .App with TCU version not included?

Sorry, but that hardware number will not be supported. That's the old one from 2006.

You cannot do any damage, because it will refuse to do anything on the wrong hardware.

We have to be careful, not to mix things up. Changing of TCU hardware does not necesseraly has anything to do with the LCI introduction. I haven't yet started to work on 5-series, so I don't have any reliable data here when BMW/ZF used what TCU. People who are interested may write me a PM so we can find out what they have in their 5-series cars.

Sorry, I do not want to hi-jack this thread - but it is possible to improve the speed of the revcounter when changing gears, to be like the SAT transmission.

All it takes is a nettodat coding, where you alter a single value. I'll post a new thread under coding on how to do it.

Eco Tune driving impressions

I have now driven @1000 miles with the Eco Tune. Overall, I like it.

I do think mileage has improved. I should explain that I have a throttle delete on my engine, so that in combination with delayed downshifts makes for nice coasting. In slower moving traffic situations, with variation of speeds, I'm finding I can coast more. That means I have to accelerate less to compensate for engine braking. Of course, keeping the revs down reduces engine friction even with a throttle.

In lower gears, slowly going up hill, the transmission will stay in gear down to nearly 1000 rpm. Vibration increases and the engine sounds more like a truck. I personally would like a bit more rpm. However, this is a very specific situation and with just a little more throttle it down shifts.

I was pretty happy with the OEM shifting points at greater throttle angles, so the Eco Tune has been an adjustment. It holds the gear longer with greater throttle input. I suspect folks who want an Eco Tune will like it.

RayBan81 has put lots of hours and thought into this and it shows. Personally, I am going to want a custom tune. But for folks who are interested in plug and play, these tunes are going to be a fantastic option!
