2011 SGM 335is still work in progress
Here is my work in progress, the bottom pic is basically the roof and the reflectors and M3 trunk spoiler. The top pics is how it currently looks with the mods so far. M3 OEM Mirrors, M3 OEM trunk lid, M3 OEM sideskirts, RPI (red) Air scoops, colored front bumper reflectors, black vinyl roof and Gintani carbon fiber side skirt add-ons.

Made a post a few months back about reoccurring issue with start up failure and long crank with my iS (Cold and warm start). Car is back at service today for the 5th time in 4 months due to same problem. We'll see what happens this time...

Its definitely worth it. The buyback process is very easy. They offered me a lowball cash settlement first to keep the car and when I declined, they came back with the buyback deal. Your doing BMW a favor by not lemoning the car AND your saving yourself the 7-20% attorney fee. I posted awhile back how they figure the buy back price. If its something you're considering do some searching and see what others on the forum got. I know it works differently on leases, but still a good deal.
Sorry for going so far off topic on an excellent thread. I love my 'is' and plan on keeping it for a while, but if you have legitimate issues with you car, it should be handled properly. It appears BMW isn't effectively handling issues with these engines. |

Hey guys,
I'm struggling mightily between a 2013 335is and the F30 335. Did any of you compare between the two, and what pushed you ultimately to the is? I'll be doing ED in late May/June and I'm a little concerned with my brand new is being outdated by the 4 series by the time it gets back to the US. Any of you guys worried about this, or is the grin from diving the car impossible to wipe off regardless? I'm comparing the 335is 6mt basically loaded vs the 335i Msport 6mt similarly equipped. |

just got my car back from service earlier and it is FINALLY starting normally again. turns out they found 5 injectors leaking, removed all 6 spark plugs and found 5 plugs soaked in fuel. all of that has now been replaced..!

I got the custom OEM skirts from LTMW and I have Gintani carbon fiber add ons attached. I love the aggressive look the two of them combined give to the car. They were installed by LTMW, so they were modified to fit

If you are a person that 90% of the time is a cool mo dee cruiser then all of a sudden want to drive like a bat out of hell then yes you will experinece slippage If you are 70%+ enthusiast driver, more torque is being used so the DCT will adapt to these demand. When adding more power, you have to let the DCT adapt and recognize the new torque/hp. You will expereince slippage at first then the adaptive function will adjust. SO everyone should keep in mind, clutch pressure is applied based on detection of torque. We have a passive DCT clutch system Quote:
