Not hating on Don or anything, but i sometimes wonder if his scoops are as effective. I mean he has 2 slits in the scoop to let water go through when it rains, but the whole point is to ram as much air as possible. If you have 2 slits, thats only going to let air out so they may not be AS effective. None the less, don's scoops look and are built great no doubt about it. I just wonder how much air those scoops are letting through.

+1. Are going to tune your car as far as ECU's?

Probably not, although im very tempted. If i do end up keeping this car, i probably will tune it after warranty is up. But i still plan on selling it / trading it in sooner or later so i really dont want to mess with warranty. This car is plenty fast enough. I just wish it weighed less, this thing is a BOAT.

yeah i saw it when he did it with andy's car. he took one of my pins that day! andy said it didn't make a big difference but he was probably only going up to 30 mph. i seriously doubt it's going to make a HUGE difference though.

Well, my friend has a m5 so that may be the difference. If you go on m5board and look up the scoops, they are very well received and everyone swears by them. I still think that no slits will be more effective, but im not paying 150+ for some bent metal when i know the name alone probably accounts for half the cost.

haha i actually loved my runflats. Nothing like super stiff sidewalls while going through the bowl at 110+ mph. People are really spoiled by the stiff sidewalls of the runflats. When you switch out, if you get something with soft sidewalls, the car will feel VERY unstable when turning.

Realistically, im looking at an Evo X. But my heart is still set out for a Elise.

Yea, im a jdm whore at heart. I hated the new evo till i saw one in person. After that it was over. Not to mention the ridiculous offsets they can run and the aftermarket support is just so much better then BMW's.

I know but I think the new Evo's are not sporty anymore, they made them luxury. If I had to get an EVO, it would be the last generation or body, those are more of a performance car. But If I were to get any JDM car, it would be between the S2K or G37.

...maybe the STI. I drove my friends STI, GT35R Turbo and I didnt know how drive manual lol.

Honestly I cant say for sure, its just how I felt about them, they "Look," luxury and I think they weigh more then the old generation. Plus they are Auto, which I think is weird because the previous all came in manual. But that's just me
