I'm pretty sure that can be fixed with those subframe repair/reinforcement kits out there. I'm pretty sure I saw much worse when I used to be on the E46 forums.

I knew it was always weird how this car moved the rear up and down when switching to reverse or drive while stopped and well this kind of explains it. I just saw a video of a guy doing the work it doesn't seem that bad. I do need to get a welder though or pay someone to weld it. Taking this to some mechanic would be ridiculous I bet.

It's fixable; just a lot of work and welding.

I wonder if it's even worth fixing. Would rather not get rid of the car but if it's really hard and or expensive to DIY or get fixed it might not be worth doing. Car has probably 160k or so. 2000 328ci good options

What did your Tinter provide as far as documentation? A reputable tinter will have all the manufacturer's info that they give you along with the warranty, etc.

They should be telling you exactly what brand and it should include lot numbers from the roll.

This is 33% Huper Optik ceramic tint all around, def worth the money.

Another angle

I didn’t even think to ask.
It was $200 for the car besides the windshield. It comes with 2 year warranty.
It is dark at night when sitting inside, but I don’t like it during the day.
I went back and asked and they said it was 5% and showed me the lighter shades on a piece of glass.
I’ll probably keep it for a while and then go somewhere else.

Easy to replace: expensive
Hard to replace: cheap

Best bet is a salvage yard.

Look for a part out. The guy taking shit apart has no idea how much each stuff is worth/is sick of looking parts prices up. Also any local junkyard will just sell it for 20-40

I'd say being worth it depends on how much you like the car, and how hard it would be to replace it with a similar one. Not sure if it's a manual, but I can tell you at least in my area finding an E46 in manual with decent options that isn't a complete POS isn't common.

that's completely fixable with a welder.

drill the cracks, weld them up, grind them smooth, install doubler pieces.

Stupid question. But does this mean my pads are low or brake fluid level low?

Front pads, rotors, and sensor were done 1.5 year ago when the car was at 71k miles.

Rear pads, rotors, and sensor were done in 2015 at 55k miles.

Do you have access to INPA or ISTA?
Look for any codes relating to the SZL module.
You don't have iDrive, right?

Looks like it's just the brake service interval.
Hold down the bc button when the yellow brake error message appears and it will tell you what code it is.

I took my wheels off to look at the pads and rotors since the yellow brake light came on yesterday.

Pads are rotors look fine to me. I'm gonna reset the light with a scan tool. If it comes back, I'll go ahead and replace the sensor.
