First order of business is to pop off the shifter cover and inspect the wiring.

I took my car for an alignment last year at the local dealership, and of course they didn't improve it at all, probably because of the seized tie rod and cam bolts they just didn't bother touching. Then come to find out the shop that installed my tires F'ed up 2 lug bolts on one of my wheels. Guy probably just set the impact to the nuclear setting and hammered them on.
Did you get new tie rods?

Took my car to my mechanic so he can finally look at the weird buzzing sound I keep hearing going 40 mph+

Turns out the right side rear wheel bearing has failed. $330 parts + labor. If I buy parts (from fcpeuro) I save $13 but lose the 2 years 24k miles warranty my mechanic gives me. But, I get a lifetime warranty on the parts through fcpeuro. How hard of a diy is that? Should I just let my mechanic order the parts or should I order them off fcp?

He also said the OFHG is starting to seep where the OFH meets the block. He said it's nothing crazy. I don't see any oil anywhere.

PO had the OFHG done 8k miles ago in 2018. That's crazy if it's already leaking a little.

If you look at the second picture, you can see oil residue around the bottom bolt. Wonder what brand of gasket was used. Some of the OE and aftermarket brands supposedly don't hold up as well.

The dirtiest part of my e91!

Our recent 2011 e91 came from the Charleston/ GA area but now resides in the NW Burbs of Chicago. Been sorting her out bit by bit too.

Not rust anywhere but...Here's an example of GA red clay dust I've been cleaning out. The sunroof front screen and drain holes are now clean too. Bit by bit!

Power washing has been my hobby lately too!

Yep, new tie rods and new cam bolts. Also they replaced the damaged wheel studs. Funny how the car drives perfect when the work is done correctly.

Probably used an inferior OFHG. As for the rear bearing, I'd just have the shop do it for the warranty. Rear bearings can be a real PITA if they are stuck in there.

If you plan on having the shop do the work, then yes. Less chance for them down the road to not cover shoddy work by blaming it on your supplied part.

I mean, they're using the same parts I can get off fcp for like $12 less

For a $12 difference it's worth keeping the labor warranty.

Personally, I'd replace the bolt that is used to tighten down the toe w/ a SS version.

I'd take them OEM parts and have them do it. If you buy from FCP, your getting a lifetime warranty on the parts.

As long as they are using OEM parts, that's a good deal 👍

They use OE parts. Basically parts the car came with from the factory.

+1 on the IPAs

We have maybe half dozen, not as many as some years. Much like a E90, these little critters are deceptively robust. They're out here doing aerial body slams that would put a bighorn ram to shame, they sound like billiard balls clacking off each other they're hitting so hard. Good show for sure

Got my 325i back from the body shop today. Last month I pull in a supermarket lot and park in front of a big chevy truck facing him, the dude in it was on the phone or something, then just slaps it in gear BAM! right into me. Lucky it was only 2 feet of motion but he wiped my hood out and embossed the bumper with his plate. Happily his insurance from some corporate fleet paid right up on the collision shop estimate of $3200 for a new hood and fix the bumper. While it was there I got a new windshield and fixed a dent on the drivers door and rear bumper + painted the roof rails. Not looking too shabby for a old Craigslist special

I had a nearly identical thing happen to me when I lived in NJ except it was my Tacoma and not an E90, and whoever hit me took off without notifying me. My Tacoma had the old school metal bumpers (2004) and it was dented and slightly twisted. You're lucky you were there when it happened.
