What happened?

was making left turn on a green light (assisted stoplight for left turn).
on the front left was a gas station. some truck pulled out of the gas station blocking all traffic. by the time i saw him and honked like crazy, after completing my turn and slamming on the brakes, i hit his driver rear side. he was blocking traffic and trying to cross a doulble yellow while there was traffic.

freakn Ford f150 truck. nothing happen to him, barely anything visible.
my front left headlight, hood, bumper, and left fender are screwed. no airbags or anything.

nope, i asked him if we should call police, but he said it's not necessary. first thing i asked him was if everything was alright, he said it's alright other then my bmw. he said he owns one and bought it from stevens creek or something. we were pretty chill (temper wise). exchanged insurance info, driver license info, and telephone number and left.
