Just found out after owning my 2007 for 4 1/2 years that when I turn my light switch to auto mode during the day of course the head lights do not come on until it gets dark.. But if I push my fog light switch the headlights and parking lights come on.

When you go from say 3rd gear to 2nd gear, you may be at 3000rpm in 3rd, but in 2nd you would be at 4500rpm, it will blip, or briefly rev the motor to about 5000rpm while the clutch is dis-engaged, and it will spin down to 4500 as it re-engages the clutch. I'm not sure what the benefits are on modern full synchro transmissions, but it was essential on older transmissions, especially when shifting quickly. I think its mainly for racing situations, where you are at or near the performance capabilities, and maintaining traction under braking. This prevents sudden grabs and instability. ... plus it sounds cool. [cited http://www.maseratilife.com/forums/m...tle-blip.html] |

Not sure if this one has been posted (sorry...not going through 80+ pages) but if your doors are locked and you leave the key in the trunk and close it, it will automatically pop back open. If the doors are not locked, it won't for obvious reasons.

CA only cars. Don't try this with your only key without CA.

Don't know if it's been posted yet, but the throttle sensitivity is changed when you press the clutch in on the manual transmission cars obviously. You can hold, say 3k rpm, and then push the clutch in while not changing the throttle pedal angle. The rpm will drop to around 2k due to a different, less sensitive throttle profile selected during clutch in maneuvers. I think they lessen throttle response during those periods to help inexperienced or poor manual transmission drivers start off smoother with less excessive revs.

Comfort Access only cars. Don't try this with your only key without Comfort Access. This applies to all 50 states. Fixed

If you mean how you can code the "auto off" engine function like on the new BMW's, except here for traction control, I don't believe there is any option to.

Yes, the brake lights come on when you decelerate with cruise control. If it just has to lightly put on the brakes to maintain 80 from say 81 or 82, it won't put on the brake lights.

Actually what I meant was I dont want DSC on at all unless I activate it, from what I understand there is no way to code it. But thanks, I didn't know about the 5+ to completely deactivate it. |
