norcal,
from the parts alone that has visible damage, i looked up online and the parted add up to bumper - 700 xenon (driver side only) - 500 hood - 750 left front fender - 400 2500 + paint + labor = $3500 approx not including any damage that were not visible. personal estimate think it's possible to get the insurance company to pay for everything except the hood? i was thinking about getting the cf hood myself Last edited by noktekniq; 09-30-2007 at 12:55 PM.. |

Well you dont tell them that. They will just estimate the damage and cut you a check (minus your deductible if it's your fault). After that you can buy whatever you want.

Wheni got into an accident, not my fault, i filed a claim with insurance agent. I had AAA at the time. Basically i got to choose a shop that i wanted to work with. The shop will take an estimate of the damage and then send that quote to your insurance agency. The insurance agency will then send out a claims adjuster who will come out and view the vehicle to also assess damage. They will then either accept your shop's quote or they could possible reduce it to how they see fit. After the damage has been assessed, the insurance will cut a check to you or the shop. From there, you and the shop can talk about what you want to order with the money. I know when i had my accident, i was able to order a full out body kit with extra money left. But that's because parts on an import were way less expensive then it is for our car now. Talk to a shop.. if you don't have a shop that deals like this, i can recommend one. M & S Collision in Santa Clara. His name is Chayois. Tell him you were referred by phuong. This is the shop that Sonic MS recommends as well. It's an actual auto shop that installs body kits on all sorts of cars. THey do custom candy paint jobs. I saw an is300 with a 23k paint job... it was sick! haha http://www.mscollision.com/
