Everyone told me to go right to stage 3. I started with 1 for a couple of months, then went to 2. The downshifting was harsh so I made some adjustments to the throttle blips, which really helped.

The newest version of xHP stage 3 seems to be a bit smoother than the earlier version I was running

Yeah not sure when you last flashed but I updated to the latest version a few weeks ago when I happened to check the app and saw a newer version in there. Had been running the prior version for quite some time before then

I think it's an improvement on daily drivability but let me know what you think vs stage 2

Is there a v3? I've been on V2 for awhile now

Edit: also replaced my window regulator today. For the first time since I've owned the car it no longer gets stuck at the bottom

Did some more dyno tuning and n54 intake swap on the N52, and heading out on road trip today and perfect opportunity to check out the new and improved. A decent delta from prior so let's see if wife notices! btw, let me know if anyone is in need of a great condition 3 stage OEM intake, which I bought from new a while back w/ DISA's x 2 included. And I know - will if so post in correct section of this forum…

Yes v3 is up. I was also on v2 for a long time and v3 seems a bit smoother and more refined

Huh, it hasn't popped up on my tablet. I wonder if it has to do with the transmission itself

Applied this to the headlights after restoring them:

Seems like a quality product, supposed to last for a year.

A bunch of rust flakes flushed out and after putting it back together the second time it's working again.
Well, spoke too soon, the new speed sensor died already. On further examination the reluctor ring is lifting up from rust on the CV joint underneath and causing an out of round high spot rubbing thru the sensor. I put some chalk paint the old sensor and pushed it in slowly while turning the axle, marked out a good long run of teeth that are scraping the bottom of the sensor. I tried one washer under the mount screw, still rubbing so went with 2 washers, barely a slight touch of the sensor so crossed my fingers the pickup would still work. I took it for a couple mile test, working for now but the obvious long term solution is new axles with new ABS rings.

Side note: I also have a 330i, I expected to find all the same parts here in the rear of the 325. I knew the brake disks and calipers were smaller, but I didn't realize the axles, rear knuckle, wheel bearings and abs sensor/ring are also different. On the 330i the tone ring is built into the wheel bearing race rather than the toothed CV joint wheel on the 325i (and I believe 328i).

need some help

can anyone help me out. I got no vacuum leaks or anything. I got this bov and it stays open at steady idle and then it closes real quick then opens and let's the pressure out when I release the gas pedal. I've been reading a lot people are saying it's supposed to be closed at idle and some say it can be open but idk. it came with this extra spring that's a little bit thicker should I put this one in?

and I also am running my silicone vacuum line from my manifold to the bov, could that cause a problem getting air through since it's not the bigger vacuum hose that was supposed to come with the kit (mines didn't come with one).

Depending on how preemptive you want to be a starter motor adds like 5 minutes to this manifold job, alternately a starter motor job includes the several hour manifold removal.

This will be the best mod you ever did, it was for me anyway.

Clean it thoroughly. I've seen some weird shit inside junkyard intakes, tools, leaves, balls of grease, disa valve shafts. Don't want any of that garbage going into the engine.
