Felt like hell this morning in the gym, just super bloated. Ate way too much food yesterday, I'm sure I'll feel better as the day progresses. Hit the stairs for 20mins following my workout w/ my sweatshirt on, definitely helped. Holding a ton of water right now.

Back day this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had a great workout, love when I get in there early enough that I don't have to rush. Started w/ 15mins on the incline treadmill walking. Lifted for around 45 mins. 10mins on incline treadmill walking followed by a 2 mile run to finish her out.

On the road the next few days so hopefully the hotel gym is decent. If not I'll be doing a lot of running.

Doing squats yesterday and felt a slight pull on the outside of my right thigh. Tried to continue, but could not push the weight with that leg and did not want to push too hard and end up making it far worse. I'd rather rest legs for a week than have a more serious injury which might sideline me for a longer period of time.

Will be back in the gym tomorrow for chest/shoulders/tris.

Pics of tat? It's been mentioned before that we get a tattoo thread started, but considering most of mine are 25 years old, they aren't anything that I want to show off at the moment.

Here is a pic, its a work in progress right now , ufo looks weird due to how my arm was positioned in photo , its really hard to snap a pic where it doesn't look mis-shapen lol. photo is of whats on my bicep , on my forearm I have some trees/forest . Once completed it will have the forest/trees with ufo shooting a beam down, upper half will have clouds ,a dn a moon/space theme . Once its all completed we will go through and make finishing touches so it all looks great lol.

Tattoo thread would be cool, I have many tattoos haha

Starting into my "heavy" sets now. Will do 3 days each for back/tri, chest/bi, shoulders putting up weight so that I am limited to about 6 reps. Last night, again, some of the heaviest weights I've ever used for chest. Since this is an area I've never been, I'm sticking with protective machines as much as possible. Certainly my days of jumping onto a bench and trying to push up 2-3 plates all by my lonesome are gone.

When I got up this morning, my arms were quite heavy, from the nipple down.

Definitely better not to push the envelope when you're feeling pain like that brother. Hope it subsides quickly. Maybe get some light cardio in just to get the blood flowing through them. Should help with the recovery process.

That's a good idea. It feels almost as if nothing happened yesterday, so I know it wasn't too serious. I'll be 49 next month, and although I rarely have an injury (do proper warm up, etc.) I know not to push it when something doesn't feel right.

Thanks appreciate it, was going to go in again in two weeks but since I'm going to vegas a few days after that I am going to hold off so my arm is healed for my trip !

Hit up the elliptical at home last night, I've been staying under 1825 calories since I have started this new leaf of fitness and nutrition again .

Did my weekly weigh in this morning , 246lbs so down 1.7lb since last week , slow and steady wins the race haha. As long as my weight keeps dropping weekly I'm happy . I can def tell I am losing fat , feels nice just gotta keep staying on track . Can't wait to see where I'll be at in a couple months here!

Good thinking.

I'm in the beginning stages of recomping. Slowly starting to increase my calories so I can work on building muscle. I dropped the weight too fast in the beginning and made myself skinny-fat. I'm starting to see the fruits of my labor from the last 4 weeks. The scale is moving upward and the abdominal fat is slowly going down. I can't wait to see how I look at the end of this 12 weeks cycle. Come the first of March, I'll assess where I am and regroup from there.

Need to get leaner but need to get stronger...

How do I juggle these.

Last few months I've lost about 15% of my strength.

I just need to get strong again so I can tell those assholes to stop taking weight off of my bench without asking.

When I was around 215-220, no one would take my 45s without asking.

Now I am look like an out of shape cross country runner and they will take 45s even if there's only one set on the rack.

Is it that weird to warm up with 10s on each side? haha

I warm up with just the bar on bench, just to stretch out. I tend to grip the bar closer then most because I don't really care about my numbers. My focus has always been on form and really stretching out my muscle bodies. Honestly couldn't tell you what my max bench is. I think last week on incline I got 195 for 10 reps. Again just focused on stretching everything out, if I don't touch my chest it doesn't count. I always bust out laughing when I see blokes throw on more then they can handle and half rep it, gtfo and don't worry about your ego.

Anways I was traveling Wednesday-Friday and the hotel gyms blew. Ended up just running those days, think I managed 6 miles each day. Took saturday off. Yesterday was back/tri, felt really good in there. I think my body really liked the short time off lifting since I rarely give myself a break. This morning was shoulders/biceps. Ate way too much food yesterday due to the super bowl, so felt a little bloated in there. But honestly I feel like that every Monday since I tend to go overboard on Sunday's. Expect to lean out as the week progresses.

Think the fiance and I are planning on a 10k in April. I can already run a 10k without many problems, but I plan to focus on running a little more then next two months. I'd like to be able to hit the 10k in under 45 mins.

Had a great workout yesterday.

BP using slingshot - 225x 1 rep then immediately hex bar DL 315 x 3 reps
BP using slingshot - 225x 3 negative reps then hex bar DL 345 x 1 rep (PR)

DL is up 30lbs since Jan 1. Expecting to hit 225 raw under 2 months. Current is 185.

bodyweight @ 152lbs

Guys....I haven't been to the gym in about 10 days. Had other stuff going on.....and looking like it will continue for awhile longer.

I haven't weighed, but feel like I've dropped 10+ lbs.

At least when I get the chance to go back, I will be very fresh.
