Sounds like it was more the accident and not so much the 'misuse of power' that caused the shut down. Howdy!

I watched the video you linked, and it had (per my subjective count), at least 43 cars pulling away faster than would be justified in a residential 25mph (per the sign in the background) and with crowds walking around, cars pulling in and out of side streets.
At least 7 smoked their ties enough to restrict visibility and/or break their tires free. The one who sideswiped the fire hydrant and sign was just one of many - he just couldn't control his car.
If you look at the wreck-video where you see him break free and fishtail clockwise, you'll see he could just as easily have fishtailed ccw into either the crowd and/or the car & truck stopped at the cross street.

Now I've had a few fast cars, and done one or two (approximately) stupid things in them, but I like to think I'm more than 8 years old and don't risk anyone other than myself when I choose to be stupid.

My only suggestion for anyone who might want to restart the CnC would be to had out flyers as people show up saying:
"Everyone who drives safely are welcome! For the others? be advised that we have requested the police to covertly video tape all our exits and prosecute everyone who breaks the law."
I suspect even this wouldn't deter every one, but hopefully enough to let the gatherings resume.

After watching that video I no longer want to associate a many of the people at C&C... What a bunch of immature dipshits. Also, what a great place to place a cop to generate a TON of revenue for the city.

Appreciate it. I spoke to someone over there but it was pretty minimal savings and only 2 cars a week on a Wednesday.

I guess the issue is that they are pretty slammed all week long. Maybe something on a saturday (they are usually closed other than for drop-off and pickup). Are you guys getting many issues yet? Haven't seen that many come through the shop back when I was working there. IMHO a catch-can is a great investment on DI engines.

I can set up something at my work, we have plenty of room for a gtg and everyone can check out some of the cars we have since I've only been stocking up on BMW's lately. We also have plenty of room inside so we don't have to freeze until the weather warms up. I can probably get bagels and coffee delivered for everyone too.

There are a lot of posts showing before and after and the results sound like a huge improvement if your over 40k, lots of interest and group buys being organized for this through out different areas of the country. N54s are worse than the N55s. Just got my catch can yesterday.

We will have to see if there is enough people that want to do it, anyone?

That would be more than enough, as Scout knows, my work is a good place to hang out anytime. Weeknights and weekends are good for me, plus we dont need to get here super early on our days off! Let me know and I'll make it happen

Guys I'm currently stuck in the snow in Raleigh. My tires must be shit (well they're not winter tires) as on any sort of incline I just start spinning. Should I go to a auto parts store and get chains? Or is there a technique i can use to get home in chapel hill? DTC on or off? Fuck
