Hey guys, I'm being lame and not gonna make it in. If I was able to drive my mom's A4 that'd work but she's out...and since I just did my HPFP last night I'd hate to get stranded. (plus I detailed the car 2 days ago, HaHa.)

So you guys have fun, be careful in the RWD cars!!!!

Where did you guys go? I came back to Imola and just saw Anvar's car. I drove my car into the bays to fix something, saw MnM3 (Joe? Sorry, forgot) drive into lot.

I saw many cars at ditches, hope everyone's drive was alright.

How did the meet today go? I did try to make a quick run to the store and made it 30 feet down the street before my neighbor had to help push me back into the garage, haha. I guess the 285s don't cut thru the snow very well.

We came back to Imola but didn't see you anywhere and figured you went home. Nobody had your new number! Anyway, we just went for a bite to eat and called it a day.

The drive home was OK, couldn't get up my driveway though! Spent 3 hours out with the snowblower and shovel

Did you find the plate anywhere?

It wasn't much fun Brian! We need to try again when the weather is better...

I was looking through my iPhone and couldn't find your guys' numbers. I did some driving and couldn't find my plate.

I will just order another vanity plate and motorized plate holder.

Nice. Living in the EU would be cool.

Or if you're Anvar: "just went over to Wisconsin to get my GIAC at Bob's Euro Fixer-uppers Inc."

Not much fun?

I had a blast! The drive was fun...well interesting at least and the food was pretty good too...

Yes, better weather would be good. I've never heard so many excuses as to why people couldn't make it...

+1 I am sure Nick and Brian were both watching romantic comedies and drinking hot chocolate.

It was definitely tough waking up today. At the very least we will have 20 more monday mornings that are either as bad or worse than today from a cold/depressing standpoint.

I'd rather it be cold with snow on the ground than cold and brown though.

I enjoyed the driving and the food. I didn't have much fun standing around in the cold wet snow lol. I also wasn't looking forward to having to clear the driveway when I got home - spend the better part of 3.5 hours at it

Leather Restoration Kit Just Arrived!!

Guys,

I just received my leather restoration kit. I am getting some wrinkles on seats that I want to take care of before they turn into scratches. You guys are welcome to borrow the stuff. I am going to try to document the restoration with before and after pictures.

Wow, that's quite the kit Anvar

I know some of the solutions I've used in the past need to be applied above a certain temperature - is that the case with these? I guess you have the gfs heated garage if you need it you lucky bugger!

This is the case with these as well. They are recommended to be used in warmer conditions.

And yes I plan to use the GF's garage

I am going to give this is a go and see how it works. The reassuring thing is that the manufacturer is SUPER passionate about leather. Check out

www.leathercleaningandrestoration.com

I've trained the GF to be careful.

Hahaha. I tried having this conversation with my girlfriend... needless to say it did not go well and I was not invited to stay at her place that evening.

I believe the response was something along the lines of " What? do you think I'm stupid and dumb and don't know anything about cars? "

Meanwhile in my head, I'm thinking... "have you looked at the inside of your car recently?"

lol, I had my gf sitting on a towel after she got some new jeans - I couldn't run the risk of dye transferring to my oyster leather!

Haha great to bring up the girlfriend skills getting out of cars. Before my car I had a big lifted diesel chevy truck (To compensate for my height) with leather seats...and you can't just step out. My past GF was the worst...she would "forget" everytime. So every single time she would open the door, pivot her body, then ssssllllliiiiddee off the side bolster 4 feet down. Makes me cringe. I put running boards on so people could stand on them to get their butts off the seat and then get out...but I still had the conversation a hundred times.

That looks like a really nice leather kit. I've just used the BMW leather kit (biweekly)..but wouldnt' mind upgrading to something like this..
