There is a waiting list. I am not sure how long it is but I am calling tomorrow to get an update on my Attache from Ralph@Helix so I will ask how long the wait list is....

Got to drive the car for another 25 miles or so at a leisurely pace. The car is adapting well to the tune. Very smoooth, quicker throttle response than the V2 tune in my car and less lag. You already paid? Damn, they havent even charged me yet. Ralph said they are really busy but hopefully they can ship it out soon.

We delt we a recently updated ECU that matches the symptoms everyone is claiming with the new build date. We were able to get that ECU runing perfectly. We believe it is the same version flash but are not able to confirm it.

Spartan, by updated ECU do you mean an older ECU that has the newest Progman? If so, that would not be the same. I believe there were hardware changes to the ECU from March on, that cannot be retroactively applied to a pre-March build. The new ECU is v81, the older one is v80. Apparently, the v81 has some "tuning protection" built in that stores codes when a tune is installed, which BMW can pull later on and possibly use to void your warranty. This is what is concerning people. It has been almost all but confirmed that if you have a Feb 08 or prior built car with the v80 DME, regardless of what Progman update you get from BMW, it will not be capable of this new tuning protection that is in place with the v81 DMEs.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I think I got it right.

He told me they had in fact not done a V81 ECU and do not have any scheduled

He refunded my money and told me when they do figure it out id be on the top of their list

Sorry to hear about the DME problem. Hopefully, they'll be able to get an 08 with the V81 in there to do some test.
