It appears that all piggybacks are susceptible to Limp modes...this is a fact of life. The question is...how often?

How were you getting into 5th at the drag strip? You should barely be getting into 4th.

Secondly, there must be a wire installed incorrectly. If you say you were gettting a limp mode almost every time after letting off in 5th gear, does that mean they were clearing themselves before each run and then coming back? Without a C-reader, you cant clear them, so Im confused at this.

This is a rare occurrence and one Im chalking up to install error. This is a limp-free piggy back.

You went to the drag strip... and got a limp mode in 5th gear.. For what reason was your car in 5th gear on the drag strip? I try my very best to finish in 3rd and almost always in 4th.. My 4th gear goes up to 145-150.. what were you doing in 5th?

his limps were happening on decel not acceleration i am suspecting stuck or sticking bypass valves... we dont make any changes on decel FWIW either way we are communicating with the owner and trying to discern the issue. He has forge valves and they do require maintenance on occasion, they may possibly be sticking or a different spring tension may have to get used.

I still hope this isn't true. If it is, piggyback tuning is no solution for me on the mid or long term.

I can hopefully tell you after tomorrow. New boost gauge is going in. I was told low-mid 14s at highest....mostly in the 13's. On race gas it should hit 15psi or so.

This may be a stupid question, but why would it be higher with race gas?

Trapping at 105 on 93 octane!? And you say the car feels fine? Am I the only person who thinks that's low?
