New battery for the beater.

But I found something strange while recoding the Ah.

- My car has 260k km.

- INPA says 1 battery change @ 199 000 km.

- Old battery is from 2017, bought the car in 2019, and he sold it to me because he wasn't using it anymore since few years. so makes no sense in 2 years he made 60k km.

- [Q] is it possible that he changed the battery, no adaptation, and makes my car no start, because the car wont charge it ? So my battery might still good?

Makes no sens for me, since it was full charge (from the tender, unplug from the car) . And after plugging the battery back for winter, few days after using it I had to boost it.

dead or not , coded or not, alternator should keep it charged , no?

Alternator give me 14.xV, seems good, not means that it give the right amps, but after a boost, I've done a 2km ride (like 6 minutes) corner store, and car start right away, so alternator's charging strong

Yes, I've read that if you don't register the battery the computer keeps charging at the same rate rather than as a new battery. I'd take it by an auto parts store and have them test it, they will tell you the percentage the battery is charging and if the alternator is good.

yeah this is what I should have done.

But since 2019 I had the battery dead too many time, so it might be in bad shape too.

Anyway, now im good : right Ah, registered, and fully charged. Hopefully Ill be good for our -25°C

Did a small canyon run in my car. I recently flashed the 1m throttle setting in MHD. I liked the improvement when I drove it around on the street normally but it really shines in the twisties

Opened the garage door, looked at it, thought about hand washing it (I never use water to wash it), thought it's too cold, closed the garage door :-) and made a latte

Yes, there are a lot of parts that need to come out before you even think about the valve cover. I did mine last year during the Thanksgiving Holiday and didn't want to look at it afterward. But, the burnt oil smell was gone and the engine bay was quite clean.

I looked at her, she needs an M-sport body kit but Alibaba sellers don't respond so she doesn't have one yet. Hopefully soon.

All I really had to do was rewire the old screen connector into the one for the CID and run the cables since I kept the CCC controller.

Bought a used screen that looks alright in pictures on eBay so we'll see what it's like in person. I heard there was a sharp 8.8" screen that worked for these cars that you could buy new but haven't found anything on that currently.
Oh ok, I have only done no I drove to I drove retrofits. Yellow tube scratch fix or similar name work great on these screens. That is what I have used. Not sure if you removed the screen from the frame completely. That's what I do. So the corners and edges look nice and clean too.
I will give this a try if the one I receive has the same issues. I tried toothpaste and alcohol and no dice. Lot of elbow grease required to remove the coating

Are these OEM parts or some sort of aftermarket? I have been chasing after the oem quarter window shades for the E92 for my car for a long time now

This is one of the reasons I haven't (yet) got up the nerve to take on a N54, EVERYTHING involves at least twice as much just to clear the way to do the actual job. One of the best things about the N/A is everything is accessible to some extent or other, it's relaxing to wrench on them. I have a 6.0 powerstroke I built from the block up, and one turbo in the stable is enough for any sane person.

That said, , I make no claims about my mental health, your engine bay pics are serious car porn. Forget whatever I said, I'm gonna need one of them (whenever I'm satisfied with the state of my N52 twins.)

It's a tossup for me whether this mod or the 3.64 diff swap on the 330i was the best mod I've done on the 325i, it's close this is an killer upgrade

They were a factory option on the e90 on the rear door panels. Along with the rear deck shade.

The e92 only came with the rear deck shade.
Oem sun shade covers for e92 are not available anymore.
There’s some aftermarket options for e92 though.
