I already posted this in the general drivetrain forum but i figured id put it here to just to see if anyone has any ideas...So.....I let my girlfriend borrow my car for a week so I didn't have to drive 40+ miles to work and back before driving to Vegas tomorrow which I'm thinking was a mistake or it could just be a freak issue. got in my car this evening to head to the gym and the car started up like an old 1982 Chrysler LeBaron. It cranked over about 3 times as much as it should(normally stats right up) and then once it finally started it threw some codes at me. P2a94(crankshaft position no signal) was the first one it threw and then the code for limp mode. It also told me on the display there is a transmission malfunction as well. when I put it in reverse the tranny slams hard and the car is running very hot and condensating real bad from the exhaust. If I try to clear the codes while the car is running it stalls out. I'm going to limp it into the dealership first thing tomorrow morning but any ideas or help is much appreciated.

From the code, it could be a crank position sensor? not really sure.
If that's the issue, running rough is expected because the car doesn't know where the crank is, and therefore, can't tell when to fire the spark plugs. So, you are getting rough idle/misfire. |

Post up the name of the place in San Marcos when you remember. I live a few minutes from there. Anyone up for a group dyno sometime?

Oh awesome. That's like 5 min from my house. I'm kinda new to the area so if anyone knows of a good place for a dyno day, let us know. The dynojets around where I am are asking $150 for 3 pulls. I didn't ask for a group rate though. I think there are much cheaper options towards the San Diego area. I prefer a dynojet if possible. I put down 424/472 on a Mustang Dyno back where I used to live. Wanna see what dyno jet numbers I put up.

Jb4 g5, backend flash, e60, 100% meth, dp, fmic, cp, dci, occ, alpina flash, inline walbro I used terry's e85 flash when i dyno'd on the Mustang last fall on E40-50. My calculations were off since the E content wasn't verified until after the dyno. I've tweaked my own backend since then after reviewing a bunch of diff flashes and lots of logging. Afr, scaler, timing, some torque req tables, load, etc. |

Boost 18-19 range. May try a glory dyno run of 75 additive map 3. Probably would do Map 6, 7 then 3 on the dyno. |
