I am looking at a 5-year old V spoke OEM rims (style 285) for my 2011 335i x-drive. The question is, the offset will not likely change over the years on this style, will it?

193m's
I think that my 193m's look amazing, though I will be a happy man when these Bridgestone OEM run flats wear out and I can switch to something else.

The "W" indicates a maximum speed rating of 168 mph and "Y' 186 mph. Either is beyond the capabilities of your car.

Anyone know which style wheels are on the 2010 E90 335i M-sport? And are they 18 x 8.5 in back and 18 x 8 in front? Also, would 265's fit in the back on these wheels?
Thank You |

I couldn't find a 255/35R18 snowtyre so had to buy an extra pair of 18x8J rims. I need to sell the 18x8.5J and the four Bridgestones to reclaim room in my garage.

I have 156s on a 2008 328i, would going up to 20s be a big jump? or should I try 18s? Being a noob, does it matter if run equal widths all around of have a staggered set?

Halligan, you can run equal widths all around. Just make sure the offset (ET) is the same as the ones you're replacing.

Hi guys,
Managed to find a used set of E92 335i 17" Style 188 narrow/wides with Bridgestone Potenza RFT's tyres. Fitted them this afternoon! Just as well I checked the tyre pressures! The left front was pumped up to something like 4.5 bar!!! All the others were sitting around 2 bar, so adjusted them to the correct pressures and initialised the tyre pressure monitor. Absolutely pleasantly surprised with how the car feels with these used tyres! Was expecting a slight pull or vibration or noise, but instead it runs smooth and true, and better than those freaking horrible Continental RFT's! Took the car along a fairly rutted road where it would usualy tramline - seemed to be immune to this with the Bridgestones! Then went onto the freeway and took her up to 140 km/h and perfectly smooth the whole time and absolutely stable! The Continentals weren't too bad on a good piece of freeway, but since they were balanced the last time and rotated, there has been a minor vibration and on harder acceleration at freeway speeds it almost felt like there was a slight shudder (ever so slight, but noticeable and of course disconcerting). So I reckon for now these tyres are perfectly fine, just don't like the difference in wear that the front tyres have, also the left front which is the more worn of the two seems to have a slightly rounded contact patch, almost as if it was not pumped up to the correct pressure and a bit too soft. All the tyres have a fair degree of shoulder feathering, and I can see that the 335i that it came off of was DRIVEN, some of the rubber on the front tyres has some tell-tail signs of sharp high speed cornering! I must say, now with this experience, it's those damn Continentals that's been the curse of my tramlining problems! |

Seventeens just look so small on my 335d since I've driven a 4runner with 33s for the last 10 years.
Anyone know what style these are? I thought they were 160, but they're not. Last edited by Col Mustard; 03-11-2012 at 03:44 PM.. |

Thanks. The former owner transported it from CA to CO. During offload, a chain fell on it. I've only had the car a few weeks, and it's on my list to fix. That and upgrade the wheels/tires.

I want to keep my style 159 rims on my jet black 2008 e90, so I was wondering how they look with spacers and a lowered suspension. Does anybody happen to have pictures of what that looks like?

I'm a new owner, first time bimmer, so forgive me but I did not see the Style 313 listed/shown. It's a BMW Performance wheel for the E9x AFAIK. I want these -

Nice looking wheel but I still prefer the BMW Performance Style 269 over the 313.
