how long will it take to get to bimmerfest from the OC meeting point? Are we stopping at any points or will we travel straight there? My first caravan, so im excited as hell!

Your Caravan hopefully will slow down a little bit on the freeway once you get to a certain spot in Thousand Oaks. There's now gonna be 5-6 335's either waiting in the shoulder for the caravan to approach or just off the freeway and we'll be keeping our eyes out...

the only meeting points are SD, OC, LA, SFV, and alhambra. . . . and they're listed on the first page of this thread. All you need to do is decide which city's meeting point is closest you, in which case it looks like it'll either be the valley or the LA meeting points. I update the first page as often as possible, so you dont need to fish through this thread to find the official times/places.

Do I understand correctly that the people who make it to OC will be meeting up with the L.A. contingent? If that's true, how are the OC people going to make it to L.A. in 15 minutes, if the L.A. contingent is leaving at 7:00?

* Walkie-talkie (MUST HAVE!!)
* Full tank of gas
* Tire check
* Quick Detailer
* Microfiber cloth
* Mask tape (if you don't want to get rock chip on your bumper)
* Sun block (It is going to hot as hell. I just got sun burn from the Wheelpower event)

walkie talkie? seriously? wow, haha, would I be ok if I just follow the car in front of me? or is this walkie talkie really needed

heres your answer

"slack time my friend....if people are ready to leave by 7 then that means people will show up ON TIME....we've had problems with people showing up late and missing the caravan every single year...so this year we've taken out the time to give you some slack time knowing that OC/SD will probably not be right on time, but we'd like you to be just in case things go perfectly...unfortunatley i cannot control the weather/traffic/other obstacles that might get in the way....if people know we're leaving at 7... then they'll show up at 705...and if they get there at 705 rather than 7...then thats okay becuase realistically we're (LA) not leaving til about 715-725 when oc/sd actually get there...this also makes good timing becuase bimmerfest doors dont open until 9AM"

Yes. It is a strongly recommend item but not mandatory. Imagine if anything happen, calling each other for an emergency stop or information update would be just a waste of time. So I recommend you guys bring a walkie talkie and I found it very useful when I caravan with the ///M Fest crew to Wheelpower BBQ event.
