![]() ![]() I've gone through 3 wheel lock keys trying to get this ****ing front tire off in order to put my winters on. Someone went full retard with the airgun at the dealer before I bought it. Three other wheels were all torqued to spec and came off fine. This one bolt is causing me lots of grief. Next step is to pound on a 20mm 12pt and see if I can get it off, if not, it's going to a wheel shop.

Not today but on Thursday I purchased my 2010 with 86k miles. I never thought I would get to own one since it seems like the prices of these are going up since the whole TDI scandal but I lucked out and found one locally that wasn't overpriced!

I used half a roll of gorilla tape fixing the fabric skid plate thing after it got a chunk ripped out from a piece of ice... Going to get it off the ground in a week or so and see what I can do with some aluminum sheet metal because I'm not impressed with this material they used

Pleasantly surprised at how well the color matches the car's factory paint. |

Installed the Bilstein B-14 PSS kit, whiteline sway bar, whiteline subframe bushings, front wheel bearings, and M3 front control arms. Took it to the dealer for an alignment...4hrs later I got it back. Drives great! And best of all, mechanic only found 1 bolt loose!

Not sure if anything across fits. Our engine is larger. A popular upgrade would be the M3 bar upgrade. There was a thread somewhere for a budget option.

Today's job
Replacement tail lights from ECS Tuning. I had 'left rear brake light malfunction' and 'right rear turn signal malfunction'.
Both seemed to be issues with the boards inside the lens assembly. The parts were genuine BMW according to ECS and according to the German writing on the packaging and the genuine BMW parts tag on the bottom of each assembly. Easy 3 nut and one wire harness process for each side. Took ten minutes at most. All messages are now gone. No more stupid crazy fast right blinker. |

Got a few things done yesterday. New tires, matte black kidneys, WeatherTech floormats, replaced my broken belly pan with a replacement from ECS (the new one seems way more durable than the oem part). Finally got around to putting my roof rack on so my skis don't have to sit shot gun anymore, got the OEM bars and Yakima fat cat 6 mounts and windscreen. Took a little persuasion to fit Yakima stuff to the OEM bars which are Thule but the BMW ski/board mount is like 2ft tall and won't hold my skis because they are too fat. Plus I get half off Yakima equipment, overall I'm happy with it, some wind noise but if I close the sunroof cover you can't hear it.
