Harmonic balancer failure
Thank goodness for this thread, this is how I diagnosed my 335d before the mechanic did.
101,200 mi And unfortunately I have no time to wait around for " fluidampr" to manufacture a pulley for us... |

Got everyone down, about 72.
After speaking with Fluidampr the ETA is looking like 6 months. Sorry guys but we need to be somewhat patient for this part, I promise the wait will be worth it! For all of you on the edge of destruction if you decide to replace it no problems. Fluidampr will be waiting for you next time around with a lifetime high performance pulley! |

Ditto. I will be over 100k in less than 6 months and seems like a good maintenance part at that mileage.

My pulley just gave out on my driveway last night.
Pulley let go at 171000km (~105000mi). Started the car, felt a stumble, lost power steering and got a burning smell. Turned off the Air Conditioning and I got some power steering back. Looked at the crankshaft pulley and I could see black bits all around the inside. Time for a new pulley. Unfortunately no Fluidamper for me to install on the car...

It's looking like December since the last time I spoke with them. If they update me sooner, I will let everyone know.
They are working on a big OEM project, this is why they are taking so long. We did everything they have asked us, now we just have to be patient with them. They are watching this thread so trust me, they do understand our frustration. |

I don't know about any "list," but here is a link to Flidamper's import selection page:
http://www.fluidampr.com/products/import/ That will probably be the best place to look, if and/or when it shows up. It's doubtful re-sellers will stock it, so go to the source for the best price. |
