The new challenges will start to separate the men from the boys. I was a boy. I got out. The initial Procede was a blast though. I still follow the products, but I've decided to watch from the sidelines.

I would suggest that you don't post specifics about your car on this forum though. Anyone who thinks BMW doesn't frequent the largest e90 board where ALL the tuning applications are discussed in great detail is fooling themselves. Where else are they gonna get the info? How do the tuners know they aren't selling a unit to a BMW field rep for testing by BMW?

I get tired of people saying that you won't get caught. It's waaay too early to know that. If I was BMW I would want to know about every car that has been chipped, etc. I would spend a decent amount of money to find these cars.

This post is more for people who are new to their 335i, and are thinking about going with a piggyback. Dealing with the hassle of a dealership and BMW NA on your ass may or may not be worth it. Just depends how deep your pockets are.

What you said is valid, so I'm still keeping mine stock at this time. Getting a GT-R as a fun car instead.

I think the tuners know this as well. A good tuner will spend a lot of time researching and testing their products.

I agree. Shiv, Jim and others are extremely sophisticated. But they're in a tough position. BMW designed the system they're trying to thwart. If Shiv is on the money, great. Just seems that there may always be something up BMW's sleeve. Again, I'm not against tuning. I just wasn't initially given this info when I purchased my V1 over a year ago. Or, if I was, I didn't really comprehend it fully. Thankfully I was able to sell it for a reasonable price before V2-infiniti came out.

There is a growing percentage of "want to keep there cars stock" 335 owners and "want to tune with piggy back" who either test drove a pre v29.2 then took delivery of a v29.2 and were very disappointed with the difference of performance of the newly delivered, now v29.2 car, and, the 335 owners who took delivery of pre v29.2 to have there dealers "upgrade to v29.2" just to find out that there cars are NOT THE SAME CAR!!!!! who now can not tune there cars because of v29.2. BMW better find a fix for the poor bastards (me) who were perfectly satisfied with the performance pre v29.2 or test drove the pre v29.2 then bought a v29.2 just to find out that they could have saved 15k and bought a sti or an evo and got a quicker and somewhat just as practical car...PHUCK...IM PISSED AS HELL

I wonder how business is for tuning companies now that v29.2 is out compared to pre v29.2?? and how many post may delivery owners out there are waiting for a resolution from BMW over all this BULLSHIT V29.2 STUFF

So, what is the general consensus on how long it takes running the car without a piggyback for the fuel trims to go back to relatively stock levels?
