Everyone is carefully picking pitches to hit not just flailing away, running up pitch counts, slapping the ball to opposite field if need be and letting them fly if it’s where the batter wants it, good base running, solid defense. Pitching has been awesome. Sevi has to have a good start.
Things are coming together as they did back in great post seasons under Torre. This coming week is looking real good.

More than once (in other games) I heard announcers talking about fly balls that went to shallow outfield, saying "That would have been gone in Yankee stadium"

The Old Guard of the Dodgers decided it was time to show the punks how we WIN in October last night!!!

I thought he pitched really well, considering he was away for such a long time. The last few batters he faced, he was locating his pitches really well.

From now on, whenever the Yankees and Twins have to face each other in the postseason, MLB should just cancel the games and have the Yankees advance and the Twins go home.

The good thing about the Rays taking the Astros to 5 is we won't see Cole until game 3. And he won't be pitching at home. Going to be a great series. Yanks will have to be perfect win. Their starting pitching will be key as their bullpen is better than Houston's.
