For one, this is the reason Red Bull shouldn't be allowed to essentially have two teams on the grid. Yeah yeah, they meet the current regulations. blah. This driver drama wouldn't be happening if the two teams weren't substantially connected. The fact that Yuki feels like he's been strung along, waiting for a promotion, is a terrible situation to be in. There needs to be a stronger separation between these two teams. Okay to have a relationship, obviously Williams/Merc and Ferrari/Haas have some relationships, but it's not as dramatic and flagrant as the RB/VCARB relationship.

I think Lawson was the better choice here. Yuki has had 4 years on the grid and Lawson less than 1, but their results on track were very similar. Yuki a little better this year, but Lawson was better in 2023. I think Lawson has more potential. Yuki has had 4 years to demonstrate potential and it's been a really slow go at it. They put Yuki in the RB 20 for tire testing and he underperformed compared to Hadjar. Clearly his results were underwhelming.

Yuki has substantial ties to Honda. Honda left Red Bull hanging for a 2026 engine and then did an about face. There is no doubt that ruffled feathers. And if Honda is going to push for Yuki to get back into a Honda powered car in 2026 or later, why would Red Bull promote him now, and waste a year or so on him if they know he has desires to move to a Japanese-built engine.

I think regardless of how this plays out, I'm happy. I like Lawson, so I'd love to see him succeed. If he sucks wind, I'm happy because I liked Checo, regardless of the hate and his poor performance in the second half of this year.

If the RB21 Isn't fast enough .I think Lawson won't make it till the end of the 2025 season just like Albon and Gasly .
The KitKat seat was bought by the Mexican multi $Millions , otherwise his Mexican a$$ would have been wiped out the Red Bull back door .

In other words : If Liam fails than Yuki is the man ...
But , as I said : I can see a kind of fire in Liam's eyes , that looks a lot stronger than the sleepy KitKat eyes ..

As for the little Japanese Yuki : Don't mess with him (!)

Liam Lawson : My task will be incredibly difficult....

Lawson isn't as good as Yuki, and all this talk about growth and potential sounds a lot like the excuses made for Norris. Surprise, he hasn't grown into the role.

I expect Lawson to do better than Checo, but be mediocre. Yuki will have his shot mid season. Max vetoed Hamilton, and Bottas as potential teammates, I think Vettel as well. Guy is soft, no matter what he says.

There are some great agave liquors out there, they all seem to hit me in a similar way, warm and happy... I've gotten into mezcal as well, really enjoying mexican old fashioned or mezcalitas. Even experimented with some racilla.

Being a Ferrari guy and never cared for Vettel much. Like that one year he was battling Lewis for the WDC. He won the British GP then crumbled like a cheap cookie.

Lawson hasn't driven half the tracks in the F1 calendar, Lawson hasn't driven in an F1 car in nearly all the tracks in the F1 calendar.

He's not going to set the track on fire by himself. Either RB has a support team that coaches him well, or he's doing it on his own.

In terms of raw pace, he's got that. He's not going to be a Mazepin or a Sargeant. But F1 is more than just raw pace, and I wish him all the best in the RB where the expectation is sky high esp next to Max.

I think , the French-Algerian "Isack Hadjar" will replace Liam Lawson at the Visa Cash App RB Team.

Well mate . For once we agree with that . Japanese 'NEVER give up (!)

I expect Lawson to do better than Checo ?
Lawson can do that ,even with just one leg and one arm.

Vettel is now a wealthy beekeeper.

Unfortunately this isn't surprising. But it's also by design. Get max a car that can win but not a teammate that is competitive.
