you lucky mofo!!! I didn't even think to ask Tony about this. I was waiting until my next car, 996TT or 997TT, to use him. This is exciting! Maybe a reason to buy my car off the lease. Let me know if he needs another test car

He working on a flash as well?

I just know the ASR car is running well without issues... and they know their stuff.... is water required... apparently not..... do i kinda wish it was there in what i ordered... well yea.. seems better to have it than not at first glance... but if the cartridge is designed to be used with just oil... well then doesn't seem like its needed... ..

I'm anxiously awaiting mine... i expect to have them installed by mid/late april if all goes well.....

(tired of my rattling wastegates, ASR replaces the bushing, and tired of what i think is at least one waste gate getting stuck open whenever it gets wet/cold.... and tired of my rear turbo leaking oil between the hot and cold sides..... it was time to bite the bullet and do something.....will report once installed...)

I honestly don't understand all the people that think ASR's project fell off the map.... it's been DONE FOR MONTHS.. i think like 6 months...

if anyone is interested now... CALL THEM.... or wait for either of these other two new ones if you want...
dude you hit it right on point. but notice how no one quotes you or asks questions. it seems this forum doesn't care much for ASR, let it be the mini controversy that happened, or some other reason. they wont respect them until a member here posts valid results. weather it be me, you or some other member in the second batch, user reviews will be written, its only a matter of time

i would never put oil cooled only turbos in my car... so no ASR for me plus considering all that has happened...
EPL sounds like some professional work. looking forward to the results.

Sounds very easy . BTW, how long is GIAC already working and testing their Stage 2 ? Or Evolve their Stage III ? Both are 16psi ECU-flashes with stock turbos. GL with your project, I'm looking forward to it.

I never said it was easy, but I live only 3 miles from the shop so at least it's convenient

Only one way to find out right? As far as I know I'll be the first XI to start really messing around with upgraded turbos.

little update: upgraded turbos were supposed to arrive by today, but i never have good luck with delivery dates so of course they aren't here yet. Hopefully tomorrow!

Eventually we'll find the threshold for the XI drive line.

On that note, isn't the 3'er XI drive train the same as that of an X5 or X6. If so they have a good amouont of power right from the factory. Especially the M.

The shop doing the work is 3 miles from me, the turbos are coming from elsewhere in the country. I'm not shipping anything to anyone, we're just waiting for the actual upgraded turbos to arrive.

Why not? The Turbo Dynamics upgrade is out there and working already. Why shouldn't there be one or two more?

Looking forward to more details!
