Turned 125k today
I used to put 20k/ year on (or more) but now the bank I manage is only 3 miles from home, as opposed to having a 38 mile round trip for work as previous. I still enjoy the car immensely. I do have some suspension clunks to take care of due to the shit roads in this city... One of the 50k mile old front m3 control arms has had it, needs sway bar links in the front (I'll just do an e93 M3 front bar while I'm at it) and the pass rear has a clunk now that I can't find. I hate the way BMWs eat suspension bushings but the good news for me is that the city is paving a lot of streets this summer, which will drastically reduce wear. Other than that, still averaging 23 mph with 85% city driving and a 3.38 lsd and a heavy foot. Might have the front bumper painted, and the headlight covers look like shit, I might just see of I can have them sanded and clearcoated since I am not at all willing to replace the headlights, since you can't just replace the covers like on the e46. Other prev maint ahead will be the second belt tensioner/belts, ball joints, tranny mount. H20 pump is on hand for the dreadful day. Related- do you guys think I should swap the radiator, exp tank? That end of the cooling system seems much more robust than past generations, but I feel like 7+ years and 125,000 miles in barrowed time, esp since the past 4 years have involved salty buffalo winters. Still want the AA tune too... that may help keep the new car bug at bay...135i and e90 M3 are coming down ALOT

My daughter has 43K+ on hers ('10 E91). That seems a lot to me, but there they are, there's no arguing about that. I guess a lot if it is because she drives the car between Ithaca, NY and DC when going to/from college and because I bought her a station wagon, so she's the driver (nearly always) when she and her friends go on their road trips.
The shocking thing to me is how much young folks drive, for I have an '07 E92 335i and I just a few months back crossed 50K miles. My daughter prefers to drive than fly, even though the cost of the plane ticket is something she can afford. (I haven't checked, but assuming she buys tickets in advance, I driving costs more, in addition to sometimes taking longer.) That child seems to think nothing of visiting with her friends who are in school more or less in the area -- Boston, NYC, Hanover, and so on. She and a friend will at least once a month make such a trip, much like I would think nothing of visiting a neighbor. I'm just glad I bought the extended warranty for her car.

Just hit 120K last week. I think I'm ready for new coils. Feeling some hesitation under hard acceleration.
Left Rear window regulator broke yesterday, $118 from the dealer. 20 minutes works. I'm also feeling some vibration coming out of the rearend under acceleration around a corner. Subframe/rear control arms bushings? |

About 25k on a 2009. Had just over 20k when I bought it CPO back in March. Miles are piling on slower now since I changed jobs and my commute got MUCH shorter. It's done a few long-distance trips though too, 700ish miles round trip for those. Loooove the car!

Don't worry. After a few miles into 6 digits, it's just a number on a screen.
