FUDGE! I thought ADHD solved the problem but guess not =(

Thanks for trying though. Argh, I just got mine installed, but they shut off after like 40 seconds...I need a resistor to keep the juice flowing to the lights.

Are you trying it while the engine is shut off or while its on? I just installed a single HID kit on my bike and it kept shutting off after about 30-40 seconds. Then I turned the bike on and let it idle for about 5 mins, the light never shut off once.

Anyone hear from James yet? The lights don't work at all...it turns on & off after about 40 seconds. It doesn't have enough juice to keep flowing.

ya if there flickering id disconnect them,,, and maybe u have them installed wrong?? u are using all the wires that came with the kit correct?
Mine dont flicker they turn on and will stay on if the car is not running but as soon as i start the car they shut off and do not come back on until i shut off the car and try again!! Im going to mess with them in a bit ill see what i come up with!

but ADHD, James sent you that capcitator. I just have the regular APEX kit that he sent. The lights don't flicker. Okay here's exactly what they do, regardless if the car is on or off.

1. Turn fog lights on
2. Lights are on for about 40-50 seconds
3. Lights go off, Car produces foglight error. Fogs won't go back on again until I turn off and re-start the car again.

My wires are in correctly...or the lights wouldn't turn on at all.
It's just that I don't think there is enough energy to keep the lights flowing...which is why they go off.

JAMES WHERE ARE YOU...I would love a solution sometime soon...

The problem is not if you have enough juice but it's that they're drawing less 'juice' than the stock bulbs. HIDs are 35 watts while the stock bulbs are 55 watts. These were supposed to have resistor built in to 'trick' the car but it looks like somebody dropped the ball.

So it has been confirmed by many here that the H11 APEX or DDM will NOT stay on in E90 fogs. They will turn on for brief period of time.. for me, it's like 10 seconds, others are getting 40 seconds.. This is with the engine running.. but why else would you turn them on?

James said he will provide refund for the E90 H11 kits.. I am just waiting for the shipping slip as I refuse to pay return shipping for something that was not fully tested and is not working.

or you can wait for James to solve the problem, as he is trying to. He sent out a capcitator to ADHD to try and solve it but right now it's 50/50.

I don't know if I should wait it out or refund my kit.

We had an E90 come in yesterday that we were able to fix this problem with. I am currently sending ADHD and SES_D this solution. As I want to make sure it doesnt just fix this one car we had here but also a few others before we start to ship out the solution with a return shipping label for your old units. Please bare with me as need a few more days for transit and installation time for these two customers.

Hoping this works well because I need HID's in my fogs to keep up with my headlights.
