Yes. These are all stock. But we have Forged Carillo rods + Forged JE Pistons with ceramic coatings. Just small steps today as we have some minor issues during assembly.

I think I'm going to do the oil pan baffle this winter myself. It just seems like cheap insurance for anyone who tracks their car regularly with sorted suspension and tires.

Any idea if the fordeg crankshaft of the new M3/M4 would fit in a N54? Since S55 is based on N55 which is based on N54.. would be intresting for rebuilds and enthusiasts.

N54 crankshafts are forged to begin with; it’s the pistons that are not technically forged. No idea if the parts would swap into an N54 crankcase though.

Engine reassembly finished

Today we finished the engine reassembly. We still need to configure the VANOS, code the new injectors, have to put small parts on the engine. We will use OKADA coils and HKS Iridium Sparkplug (gapped to 0.22"), which comes from Mini.

Do you have any means of “testing” the Okada coils? They are very, very rare due to the exorbitant cost for coil packs.

This build is incredible, I feel like I’ve said that a dozen times by now.

I am using Okada coils in this e92 335i before the build since the very begining (2.5 years or something). I am also using Okada coils in my F10 M5 and in my e93 M3 (NA at this moment, but soon will have a compressor kit and will rebuilt those sweet engine. That will be another huge rebuild post :-))

Okada is really a good stuff.

Upgraded brake master cylinder

We have installed our (f10 m5) reworked/upgraded master brake cylinder into my n54 with some custom fitting. We use upgraded cylinder to supply the larger Brembo brake calipers (8pot/6pot).

Wastegate actuator

1 wg actuator is already installed today. Space restriction is everywhere...I have purchased Forge actuators, but we decided to use OEM actuators as they perform better.
