To an extent, but I'd still rather drive the 328 coupe than the G37. I'll skimp on the performance difference for the styling, resale and relative ease of ownership.

G coupes (didnt) depreciate that much...

maybe things have changed but they held their value when i owned mine.

That would be my choice, too. I saw a G37 this evening, and I'll admit it looks nice. And big! That's why I was surprised to hear that the trunk and rear seat are not usable to some extent.

Everybody has an opinion. I just don't get why the G3x people are surprised that on a BMW forum, most people like BMW's better than Infinitis. Don't they have their own forum where they can talk about the positive aspects of their car? Why come here and try to pump their cars up? If the king is dead, so be it, I still like my car as does everyone else theirs.

Very true ppl will tend to like their cars on this forum or relevant forum. I'm objective enough however to admit when other than the car I drive is a nice car or may even be better than what I'm driving.
Cheers

So you admit a 335 is or may be better than your G3x. And we 335 owners admit that a Cayman S is or may be better than a 335. That still would not explain going to someone elses forum and constantly talking about your car, hanging around, lurking, harassing, etc. Do that in public in real life situations, not the web, and you get arrested.

If a 335 owner goes to a Cayman forum and starts pumping up his car and asking for the Cayman S owner to justify his car, that's plain dumb. No matter who you are, what you drive, there will always be something worse, and better than your situation. What could be more obvious than that?

Well, I figure it's appropriate for me to be here (wasn't sure if you were implying I shouldn't hang around this forum becausing I'm harassing, etc.? whatever) since I have a 335i on order. I was simply offering insight on the G35's pros and cons since the thread is relevant to that. Regardless of how well I like the 335i, my G35 is (and soon to be 'was') a very nice car. I'm sure the Cayman is too.

funny this thread exists.

I took delivery of my car just a couple of days (335 - Sapp Black - coral red) and I am amazed the why it shifts, the sport seats, etc. However, this car gets alot of attention by "ricer" boys wanting to race at every intersection, particularly the G35's.

Maybe its because my age? I am 22, I usually just prefer the tracks. Just this weekend alone, I have had 3 G35's tailgating me, wanting to drag. I dont get this by the Audi crowd.

lol Funny to see someone refer to some G35 drivers as ricers. Especially since Infiniti is Nissan's higher end car line. It is Japanese though of course.

Your Right, G35 isnt really a ricer car until i see the intake, chrome rims, and the exhaust that gives it the sound of a honda civic except at volume 10.

Oh yea, lets not forget those Decal stickers.

Personally, I love how the G35/350Z looks like as is.

Its only in America, that Infiniti exists i believe, everywhere else they are still "Nissan". Just like the Acura being a "Honda". I believe Lexus is the only luxury car that is established as "Lexus" throughout the world.

It's a sin to rice up a car like an Infiniti. I've seen shitbirds do that to BMWs too, looks like crap. I tend to agree, Lexus is perceived to be more the cadillac of Japanese cars as far as luxury and reputation. Infiniti is along the same lines but doesn't enjoy that same status as much.

all depends the g37 has the 335i beat on interior and exterior can go either way depending on the person. but a fact is that infiniti's interior is 10x better.
335i better engine and of course turbo.
yet both do come with decent warranties.
g37 you recieve your money worth
while bimmers are a bit pricey.
basically depends what you like better.
opinions vary im still yet to make up my mind

I disagree. That's an exaggeration if I've ever heard one. Then again, you are the same individual who liked your friends' barbed wire Acura.

Nuff said!

I just sat in the Infiniti. Not impressed. Neither car has a great interior...but I do prefer the clean simplicity of the BMW...

The infiniti's interior is really 10X better. If deciding between a 335 or G37, I would go G37 solely based on price and performance (there is really not that much of a difference) The road noise, space and MPG were the biggest downfalls of the G37. I had a down payment on a G37 until I drove my Zed.

We'll have to agree to disagree. 10x is a huge exaggeration. Seriously!

I don't think he explicitly (or even implicitly) stated that a 335i is a better car than his. He was trying to state that he can give other cars their due respect.

Also, the G37 vs. 335i vs. Cayman S comparo isn't exactly a fair comment. The G37 and 335i are directly compared and are very close to each other in most aspects. However, the Cayman S is generally considered to be a much better sports car than either the 335i or G37 (in addition to being in a different class).

Lastly, I understand why e90/92 owners would be frustrated that so many G35/G37 supporters have infiltrated their site. Personally, 6 months ago I was on the fence between putting down a deposit for a G37 or 335i. While I went with the G37, I still think the 335i is a great car and one of my friends has purchased one as well. While some of the members of this site might consider us Infiniti owners trolls, I would argue that much of the G37 content (dynos, timeslips, quotes, reputation) has been taken from our forums and brought here. Additionally, there have been about 15 G37 threads on this site, with about 3 active. While there is 1 small one on myg37.com. That's just some food for thought for those who complain about why these threads pop up. At any rate, both are great cars and appeal to people for different reasons.

But my scan of 6MT.net (...which I am a member of because I owned a G35 in the past) would prove that there exists enough 335i vs G37 debate there to somewhat equal what this forum produces. Obviously, majority of the replies are in favor of the G37. I didn't notice many BMW trolls over there though.
