I'd ban him from a politically correct message forum but this isn't that. I mean the guy has diesel running in his veins and shouldn't be banned from here.

How about this for a replacement elbow? Silicone reducing elbow 1" x 1/2".

QUIKDZL, Did you end up getting these? Installing? Im on the verge of pulling the trigger on Amazon right now. I think I can get everything I need besides the catch can here on time to get it out of the shop on Tuesday. Lexx, it looks like the ones you used were not reducing silicone hoses but 1" elbows (on both ends). Is that correct? The ones QUIKDZL linked to are reducing 1 to 1/2 inch. So correct me if I am wrong here folks. The whole kit is the following: 2 x http://www.amazon.com/HPS-HTSER90-05...90-050-100-BLK 1 m. (approx) of 10AN nylon stainless steel braided hose http://www.amazon.com/Nylon-Stainles...Line+Hose+AN10 2 x http://www.amazon.com/Anderson-Metal...+union+fitting 1 x http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/2010952...&ul_noapp=true and 6 hose clamps.... Did I get it all? And is it all correct? Last edited by OmahaDZL; 04-09-2016 at 11:39 PM.. |

I did the 90 degree elbow with the aluminum plate from the X5 forum with the pro vent 200... works great so far.. downfall is the 1" hose all the way around

I'm curious if there is any real disadvantages to routing the can to the cold side inner fender where there's plenty of room and cooler air. Would make for a very clean install.
I mean does the length of hose really matter as long as it's routed gradually down towards the catch can? |

OmahaDZL, I did use those reducing elbows, and they worked very well. I had to cut most of the length from each end because they're very long elbows (about 5"), but everything fit well. I believe these elbows will last forever. They are reinforced silicone about 3/16 - 1/4" thick. I count 8 hose clamps - 2 on the 1" elbow ends, 2 on the 1/2" elbow ends, and 4 on the 1/2" hose ends. I used the Gates heat shrink hose clamps on the four braided 1/2" hose ends. They look great and cover the loose braided ends, preventing finger pricks.
Rolling Coal, your idea is fine as long as you can route the hoses steadily uphill and steadily downhill so you prevent P-traps. |

Jumper wire
Just read through your thread. Good work. I am hoping to not have to be quite so conspicuous with my version.
I do have a question though: What was the reason for the jumper wire on the sensor? Maybe Im not quite understanding your circuit (hose, not electrical) |

Without the jumper you will throw an SES light. All it does is complete the circuit for the sensor at the bottom of the accordion tube closest to the LP turbo inlet.
