Initial impressions running much better. Doesn't choke on startup/idle, throttle input is smoother, just doesn't feel as "rough around the edges" compared to the factory tune/130i tune with MAF. I'll test further.

What are the benefits to the MAF-less tune? Is it compatible on a car with the 3SM and headers? I have an AFE Stage 2 sealed intake as well, is the IAT compatible in this setup?

Benefits are a little more power, more responsiveness, and improved reliability. It's still untested with headers on the E90. On a swap car, we ran into issues because it was missing the ambient temperature sensor, which is used as well as IAT to calculate the air mass.
the IAT should work in any intake that the MAF would. You can actually run the no-MAF tune with the stock MAF in place if you want to see if it works with headers - it just ignores the MAF signal and uses only the built in IAT. |

I got AA headers, Euro IAT and 3 stage intake and we're smooth as butter over here.
Stock 130i MAFless bimmerlabs tune. |

The key is if the long term fuel trims end up way out of wack. if after a few weeks they are still 'normal' then it will be confirmed it works fine with headers.

Hello Hassmaschine,
can you help me with my 325i ? I installed the 3 stage intake manifold but dont know how to go on flashing the new Firmware to activate the full Power. Do you know a step by step guide or maybe can me help via Teamviewer. I got a obd cable and the standart BMW Tools. |

is your engine an N52B30 or N52B25?
if there's a file available you should be able to just download it and run the .bat script. Make sure your ignition is on and the cable is connected. |

as long as it's within the thresholds of the stock system it's fine. I think it's +/- 20%?
If it goes beyond that it will trigger an error. As long as that doesn't happen you should be good. I just looked at mine (mostly stock) and it was at -10%. Also I realized recently there is also adaptations for the 'time lag' for the exhaust to reach the widebands - so perhaps that could even be tweaked for headers, or it would adapt eventually. |

you can't - basically, you have to defeat the RSA signature anyway in order to bypass TRT. If you have to do that, it's just as easy to modify the tune (since people often want to tune other things anyway) to work with a different power class.
I can add an N53 330i file easily enough - I don't think anyone has ever asked for one yet. ![]() |

So I agree that your ZB#s are correct, but I need to make an RSA delete for 0044CC0IHF0S - I think it can just be patched in though.
