Breakfast ala Almost Mighty Freightliner, consisting of a leftover Cracker Barrel biscuit and a bottle of wine sitting in front of the picture window.

I was pumping diesel fuel about an hour later, and swear that I saw an Amish guy pumping gas into a minivan at another fueling island. Must have been the Cheerwine talking.....

You can get it in glass bottles at most Cracker Barrel gift shops, along with dozens of other regional beverages from around the country. The plastic bottle pictured came from a vending machine at rest area in Virginia, which is the farthest north that I've seen it.....

Continental breakfast on the (Asian!) continent.

Usual items with the exception of Turkish Delight, the small square on the left. Rosewater flavored gel confection covered in dried rose petals. Wonderful aroma and flavor, exemplary of the region.

Last is halva, a tahini (sesame paste) and sugar confection similar to “fudge” in North America, but halva is firmer and drier. This version was a combination of sesame and cocoa-flavored halva.
