Actually this week, years later, I'm finally repairing the quarter panel And I'm curious to see what yours looks like. Mine came with my car, probably some ebay garbage. The backing plate for the plate itself was always loose

I have a Rho-Plate. It's a great design, and hasn't loosened up at all since I installed it over 2 years ago. I had one on my old 328i, that got wrecked in 2019, and it was the same thing. Never budged even after years of being installed. The mounting is similar to the picture on this page, but my plate doesn't go past the inner edge of the bumper cover: https://www.rho-plate.com/products/3...1-rho-plate-v2 Cheers! |

That's what I have (tow hook), it's less disgusting than the hideous dealer center plastic thingie and screws through the bumper. My (current) state is big on mandated compliance so leaving it off is an expensive option.

Knock on wood but must be lucky in WA, never gets pulled in 12+ years… don't think it's a focus here.

At least you guys have the opportunity, if you live in the right state, to have no front plate. In the UK it's a £100 fine if you're stopped without a front plate. Loads of kids here in their modified cars have them in the windshield at the bottom and try to get away with it by claiming that it just fell off.

And here's how the Rho-Plate setup looks with my front plate installed. I have it adjusted to follow the lines of the bumper cover. To me it's the least obtrusive" looking, even though the right fog lamp is slightly covered, and no drilling, whatsoever, necessary.
Cheers! |

Finally ordered a set of v710's for her. Decided to go with 18's over 19's cause the roads are shitty in Edmonton. Happy with my decision and super excited for them to arrive!
Now my OEM 17's (that I love) will be on permanent winter duty paired to my Bridgestone Blizzak's. I also need to decide on tires now, should I get a dedicated summer tire or an all season? |

I thought the spec was 1 year /~ 10,000 miles for most newer BMW models? Personally, washed mine today - got rid of the pollen for about 20 min 😂 |

137k miles, engine is squeaky clean under the valve cover. This car has had its oil changed this way for the last 12 years. |

Not really from today, but last 3 days was busy with cleaning intake valves, new plugs and oil change on N53. Today picked up the car and got it home from my cousins garage. Oh boy i was not expecting to feel such a difference. The engine on highway ran now so smooth and calm, before i was experiencing slight vibration from engine on highway speeds. The acceleration also smooth and even - without dips in power-band. Can't tell if there's more power regained. And I didn't even reset the adaptations yet. My plan is to update dme software (is running some old version from 2008.) and reset adaptations.

Finally got rid of the last piece of aluminum trim on the interior today by swapping in the front center console cover off the M3. Also got the sunglasses tray and shift knob/boot. I still need to do something with the space for the buttons...
