did you tried to set up properly???
its easier for you to call the homelink company and they'll have a voice recorded procedures to teach you step by step preocedures how to set it up...took me a while....coz i forgot to press the "learn" button on the garage motor....and its hidden inside the housing...

and there's many threads...just : and u'll find many help!

so after you clear the homelink buttons on your mirror, then hold down the button to be programed + your garage door opener remote till the light flashes and it is programed...

you then need to look on the back of the garage door opener it self (the box hanging from your garage celling) and there should be a button that says something like 'link' or 'connect'... something along those lines, depends on what brand it is. you push that button.

you then have 30 sec to push the homelink button on your mirror that you programed with the remote. Just push and hold it for a sec or so, about 3 times. It should work by then. If not, repeat the 'link/connect button' step again.
