Gave her a very quick bath, then took her out to Rocky Mountain Motorsports track. Got three follow the leader laps. I still believe it’s too expensive for what the facility is

Should I just do my best to force these into place? Any advice is appreciated. I can always put the stock radiator back in if I have to.

Both CSF radiators I've put in have went in flawlessly. Double check something isn't getting caught

Country roads

Took the E93 out for an afternoon drive into the mountains twists with the wife, top down. First real opportunity to do so without COVID restrictions everywhere. Even this time last spring when people were getting vaccinated, country breweries and wineries still had protocols in place. Sat outside, ate and had something to drink. Starred at the deep blue sky. Blasted out Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy on way back home. Good to be back to normal.

Oil change on Firstborn's wagon and packaged a sample off to Blackstone.
Wish I could say it was uneventful, but I noticed dried coolant splatter and what I think is the OFHG leaking, so I have to figure those out...

OFHG, is a cheap and quick job. So quick I keep an eye and almost do mine as preventive.

Brothers 328;

Oil pan gasket, E60 oil cooler + OFGH and waterpump/thermo.

Waterpump/thermo were original and have 217k on it but while subframe was down, stupid not to.

Also huge pain in the ass, after reinstalling one of the studs for oil level sensor on the pan snapped after threading nut back on (by hand with only the socket) so I really hope it still seals.

Began my oil pan gasket job this afternoon. Got subframe out, front diff, water pump and thermostat. And spilled 3 quarts of oil on the driveway

Really not hard at all after you get into it. I don't have cv axles though or front driveshaft so that helped a lot. I was really overthinking the disassembly

Nice work! Swap those motor mounts too if while you’re there. Very easy now, but not so much later on. Made a big difference on ours at 130k miles.

Finally finished my sport steering wheel with paddle shift retrofit. It was an M sport wheel but i figured my car isn't an M sport so i changed the trim to the regular sport one. The new wheel definitely feels a lot nicer than the old standard one.

Good to know, I bought new ones just to do while I'm down here. The old ones look stiff and in good shape though. Also changing thermostat and water pump preventively and a few lower hoses.
