these are some great features that NBT possesses over CIC.
BMW apps allows iDrive to take over and operate certain apps assigned by BMW (spotify, M lap timer for example). These apps need to be opened on our phones and phone need to be connected to car with USB

RTTI shows the real time traffic information on iDrive navigation map and take this into consideration when selecting a route. So, we don`t need other real time navigation devices anymore.

Connected drive here means you can use your phone to control your car. An app called BMW connected can be installed on both iOS and android. From there you can do a lot things, such as lock/unlock car, send nav. from phone to car, read text from iDrive screen, access live weather etc.

These are part of the new features making NBT more appealing than CIC. I am asking these questions because the other day I talked to BimmerRetrofit regarding NBT EVO upgrade. I was told none of these functions can be activated in our region.

I thought the CIC already got the Connected Drive which allows you locking/unlocking & locating your car, turning on fan/heater with your phone?

for the connected drive apps i know with factory delivered nbt's you pay $100 or so per year to subscribe to the service.

I dont think i'll bother with it personally im not one to use fb twitter when using my car, but can see its appeal as a daily driver and if you wait for children in the car during soccer practice etc...

I have activated BMW apps on my E92 and I can use some functions in BMW_connected app, not including those functions that require a SIM card to be inserted in your cars. F30 has a SIM card slot so all communication functions are working based on that.

My understanding of connected drive: a sophisticated system that consists of many different modules. E platform cars can use some of them only, like BMW apps, internet. That`s why once we activate one of these functions, the iDrive displays will show connected drive, instead of BMW live. However, they are only some, not all.

Mod 71 - CF Hood Air vents

Saw these on Inkys car on his recent vid
Certainly look better then the plain black plastic
The CF is simply a thin veneer that is applied over the top on the plastic vents, Looks nice once in place
