If on stock LPFP you can use up to 3-4 gallons max on full tank but ONLY on e25 mix map? Assuming the pump can handle it. Is this a correct statement?

I'm running 1.7g e85 which is a more than the recommended and LPFP is struggling to keep up just dilute it back with premium gas(93). I'll start looking for a replacement.

Besides the lower pressure captured on the logs any other symptoms I should look for in a failing LPFP?
4 gallons can put you at an e30 mix which if you have a full functioning lpfp is absolutely fine(this is currently what I'm testing - I have about 4.2gal e85 and the other 12.4 gal is 93oct with 10%e, I'm fine running it according to my monitoring so far), according to some here even an e40 blend is fine, e50 is generally where you should be looking for an upgraded pump.

FBO with stage 2 in tank fuel pump, I can add more Ethanop and do another log. I live in Minnesota and some gas stations have winter blends but I went to one where people said it had e70.

With a wgdc over 70 you are stressing the turbos pretty good. What kind of intake?

Should I add more ethanol? Is it better to have more ethanol than less?

Your timing corrections indicates to low octane for that tune, maybe it is less E in the fuel than you think. I would add some more

Is it better to have a higher ethanol connect than the map or lower?

Better more than less, but if the map is intended for 50% then that should be enough. Looks like you have less than 50% content of E

You should also make sure you got at least 80percent E in the stuff thats coming out of the hose. Winterbleds of E are generally closer to 55percent. Most plants are just now starting to use summer blends - depends on the metro area as far as classification of particulates if it changes.

My mistake, for some reason I thought Geo's post was yours. I didn't really get to look at your log, just read the others posts and yours. Like what a couple other guys have said, having some e85 in there on another map should be fine from what I've seen but it might not run perfect. The big issue is obviously the % of ethanol, since it doesn't burn the same as gasoline and requires more ethanol than gas to make equivalent energy so without an E map tune pumping more fuel over normal, there are potential problems that'd stem from not having the right amount of energy being produced from the amount of fuel being injected. If it was me I'd top off the tank with 93oct and stay away from high loads/wot until you're through that tank of gas, but as long as your overall ethanol % is pretty low you shouldn't have any (real) problems in your day to day driving.
Would the dme protect the car if the mixture of E85 and pump isn't quite right or would I be risking serious damage?

How dangerous is it to have the lpfp drop below 50 in higher gears? Will the DME pull back timing and reduce power or will something blow up?

HP pressure pump will get below 1400 in upper rpm ranges. Not good. At about 1000 or so it will go into protect mode and AFRs will default to base (around ~13.x) and fuel trims will drop to zero - and it wont make power.

I only see 1 for 4/22. Others are in March.

So all prerequisite mods for the specific map are present?
Do you have an OEM or aftermarket LP pump
Miles on N54?
Any recent maintenance or WG idiosyncrasies upon start?

First thing I see is 3rd gear only - shift at 6250-6300 at most. N54s dont make power above that - actually 6K is probably best even for a 6speed ZH-Hp.

Get a little of 4th in there post shift -
Makes all the diff in the word for individual cyl retards.. especially as IAT begin to climb.

AFR and trims are a little high for a efuel. How long have you been driving with this blend?

LP pump in the mid 50s at 6K - marginal.

Boost mean vs boost target is a little high in the upper rpm ranges - could be boost leak or wear from WGs.
Another reason dont spin it up there.

USE the torque luke.

Could someone please post either a graph, or a spreadsheet with numbers, illustrating what a knock looks like (ignitiion, etc)?

will someone please look at this log. its just a log of cruise control at 70 mph but getting tons of misfires at this rpm. stock tune with 91 have replaced o2 sensors, plugs and coils and injectors and checked mosfets still getting misfires across bank 1 only. starting to think fuel pump related? but not sure what to look for in logs to pin point the problem.

https://datazap.me/u/shoulder-devil/...ata=3-16-22-23

thank you

Your looking for a downspike of individual cyl timings. They usually happen after a shift.
