My buddy just got his 4 corner weight scale today while I was there balancing my wheels.


We were curious how much a fully loaded dct m3 weighs so we put it on.

Anyone want to guess the weight with a half tank of fuel?

I can't post pictures with the app Canaut but it was 3418 pounds with a little over half a tank of gas.

The reason Jgrigoros (above) got it right is because I texted him the picture.

I would like to get a stock e46 M3 at my friends place to weigh and see what the exact difference is.

And... I've been told DCT adds 50 pounds so a 6 speed should be under 3400 pounds.

You ever weigh your 335? What was BmW's listed weight for it?

Never weighed, but others have and it is anywhere between 3,500 and 3,700 depending on options. So 3,600 is a good indicator.

I find that hard to believe.

I just googled for the 335 weight and found its said to weigh 3650 which is the exact same weight as the M3 is listed as yet its not as seen from my weigh in.

I had read somewhere that BMw lists weights if vehicles with a 180 pound driver and golf bag in the trunk. Seeing my weigh in today that's exactly the difference.

Last one shows 3687 with half tank, without driver, e90 !!!!!!!!!!!!

I also have 25lbs more with active steering, plus e92 is 22 lbs lighter than e90

Lol, u r not thinking! One Way doesn't mean closed, you just need to go around Montée Ryan, by the pedestrian village and back on the chemin du village. Will definitely be longer, but how come 1 tank of gas not enough for 4 sessions, specially if some will be in the wet?

if dry - 3 sessions over 1/4 per session depending on length however

I had a scare tonight, cos I got a tire flat symbol followed by yellow half engine light. Turned everything off, turn back on, all codes went away, pfuii!!!!

I've had that light/code before just don't remember what it represents (the half engine one).

I have serious doubts that an E9X M3 can be that light. A buddy of mine brought his high precision scales from work last year at LCMT and we weighed a whole series of cars. My M3 came out around 3680lbs and his E46 around 3550lbs without drivers, which is consistent with most published numbers in magazines and all. I will try to dig out the actual figures.

OK, I found the data files, my car weighed 3688lbs with a full tank of fuel without driver (my memory was not too shaby when I quoted 3680...)
